||CHAPTER EIGHT||

WEDNESDAY

"Okay before you go, I'm going to give you your phone just in case." My mum said handing me my prize possessions.

"Why would you do that?" I asked hesitantly taking the phone from her hand.
"I know your father told me not too, but it's just in case you'll be late but you still have to do the dishes."

"Okay, Kenna's here I'll see you later." I waved heading to Kenna's car putting my bag by my feet once I was seated.

"How come your at your mums?"
"My dad went away on a business trip so I had to stay at hers, but hopefully there's no drama." I said.
Today I wasn't really feeling it, I just felt like crap it was a feeling that I felt from time to time and it seems like today is going to be one of those days.

And it was even worse knowing I wouldn't be going home to see my dad, all I wanted right now was to hug him and watch how I met your mother on repeat.
"Hey, are you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm just missing my dad." I sighed.

I still felt bad about last Monday how I came back late, but I was upset that my dad wouldn't be making it to my 18th birthday.

"He'll be back before you know it." She smiled at me.

The moment I got to my first class all I wanted to do was slam my head against the table and I did just that.

"What's up your butt?" Conner asks.
"I just don't want to be here." I sighed, I just wanted to go home and have a nice cup of milo or the whole tin ether way I'll be doing that when I get back to mums.

"Just leave her be." Kenna said putting her work books on the table.

I was greatfull to have a friend like that, one that knows not to provoke my bad mood and to tell others off when annoying or being rude to me.

Science was long and boring although I didn't do any work, I just sat there with my head on the desk feeling sorry for myself.

I wasn't excited for English just because I knew Noah would be there to taunt me.
And to my prediction I was right, he was sitting in the same spot as last.
While Keenan sat a seat away, I'll be squashed between them again.
Great.
"Well hello." I rolled my eyes as his followed me till I sat in my chair.

"Why so glum chum?"
"Piss off Noah, I'm not up for your crap today." I rest my head on my arm facing away from him looking at my favourite human.

"What's wrong?" He pushed some hair behind my ear.
"Just an off day." I sighed.

"Well, how do you feel about coming over to mine after school?" He leaned his head in his arm so we could be eye level.

"Yes please, but I have to let my mum know."

Most of the day was spent doing nothing and moping around, but Keenan tried to make my day better by making me smile and laugh.

As of now I'm cuddling Keenan in his bed since my mum said that I could go to his for a while.

"I was thinking, how do you feel about going out this Friday?" He asked as his arms hugged my waist.
"The day before my birthday?"

"Yeah, I want to take you on a date and maybe give you an early birthday present."

I smiled caressing his cheek, "I'd love that."

I kissed the corner of his mouth.
He rolled his eyes. "Come back here and give me a proper kiss." He grabbed my face with his hands bringing his lips to mine.
I smiled gripping his jumper leaning more into the kiss.
"You always make me feel better." I ran my hand through his wavey black hair.
