The above image is the prompt that this story is based upon. I thought it was an interesting idea, so I started writing. I don't really know where I'm going with this, but I'll see.
______The life of a spy is a lonely one, as Richard and Mary Parker can prove. Two spies, married and in love, find themselves in the predicament of having a child.
After long and intense labor, a boy is born. He is named Peter Parker. Poor Peter does not have any godparents whatsoever, which shall simply not do.
And so, Mary Parker smiled at Richard and asked who the godfather should be.
"Why, the norse god Loki, of course," Richard smiled back. And so it was.
Unbeknownst to them, Loki had heard the two and found the joke most hilarious indeed. So hilarious, in fact, that he decided to take the joke seriously.
This is how we ended up in the awkward predicament of having Richard Parker open the door to an unknown man in a green suit and a golden tie.
"We don't want whatever you're selling, thanks," he closed the door in Loki's face.
Loki blinked. And then he smiled. And then he rang the doorbell again. When the door did not open, he simply stepped into the house.
Mary and Richard jumped up in surprise once they saw him.
"Hello, Mary, Richard. I was simply wondering what the appropriate visiting days would be to see my godson."
"What?" Richard inched towards the lamp to use as a probable weapon.
"Must I introduce myself?" Loki sighed. "I am the godfather of your son, Peter. I am Loki, of Asgard."
"...Right."
"Honey, I think he's telling the truth. I mean, with those fashion choices, he can't be from Earth!"
Richard chuckled while Loki scowled. "This fashion is ahead of its time!"
"Alright, fine. How about once a month and if you do anything, we cut off all contact?"
"Once every two weeks?"
"Two months?"
"Once a month it is, then."
"Good. He's coming from the hospital in a few days. You can come then."
"Perfect." Loki smirked, and faded away.
