Sunset swallows

Sunset swallows, sunset swallows,

gloomy birds among the sunbeams,

hatch of spring under sheer wings

mourning clouds abide the stream.

Mild winter city defiles

fur coats and pity umbrellas,

floods of tears drowning crowds,

trills of hope, fellow fellas.

Jackdaws of lifeless death

swept rotten grapes dream,

sentry swallows in the sky

shine on the painted night.

Joy wardens, hang they free

from mud homes on barren walls,

fly them high in angels fall,

sowing seeds over ash world.
