; ( ✧ ) / · * henry tends to hug himself a lot. it's mostly because it brings him comfort. but he also does it because when he was in the asylum, he had to wear a straight jacket. he's used to having his arms in that position and he doesn't really know where else to put them so he just keeps them there.
; ( ✧ ) / · * henry likes to hurt himself. he doesn't like pain. he does it because the voices tell him to. the voice of his late brother tells him that he deserves to suffer for the things he's done and henry agrees. he hurts himself in many ways. the most common way he does this is biting his tongue. he bites his tongue as hard as he can until he's crying from the pain and choking on his own blood. he did that several times in the asylum and at one point he was gagged so he wouldn't be able to bite his tongue. henry will also scratch himself until he bleeds, hit himself, bang his head against walls, stab himself, etc.
; ( ✧ ) / · * henry has killed people. several people. most of the time he doesn't remember killing people. he just wakes up covered in blood that isn't his with a knife in his hand. it's easy for him to connect the dots. every time this happens, he'll end up hitting his head against the wall and apologizing excessively for what he's done. what makes him kill people? that can't really be explained. to know, you have to witness it yourself.
; ( ✧ ) / · * the man hardly says jamie's name anymore. he can't bring himself to without breaking down. he tends to refer to his brother as he or him.
; ( ✧ ) / · * henry appears to be a rather shy guy. he stutters when he talks and fidgets with his hands. it's easy to make him go from shy to aggressive, though. all you have to do is be honest. tell him he's crazy. tell him he hallucinates. tell him jamie isn't really there. do any of those and he'll quickly start yelling and becoming defensive. henry truthfully believes that he's sane and okay. a part of him even believes that jamie is still alive. also, when he starts getting mad, that's when the voices in his head get louder. he'll start yelling "shut up" and "stop". it's hardly ever directed at the person he's with.
; ( ✧ ) / · * in most of his hallucinations, jamie is there with black eyes. black, bleeding eyes. and there's a bullet hole in jamie's head, which is how he killed himself. these hallucinations scare henry. henry is also the one who found his dead brother and the sight made him vomit and sob and it just killed him. he gets sick to the stomach every time he sees these hallucinations.
; ( ✧ ) / · * henry still drinks alcohol but it doesn't affect him like it used to. he no longer gets aggressive when he drinks a lot. he acts pretty much the same as he always does. nervous and unstable.
; ( ✧ ) / · * henry honestly wants to die. he really does. he won't commit suicide though. why? as mentioned above, he knows that he deserves to suffer. he has to suffer for the rest of his life and ending his life wouldn't be suffering. killing himself would be the easy way out which he doesn't deserve.
; ( ✧ ) / · * henry misses jamie. he misses him more than anything. he would do anything just to get his little brother back. just to see him smile again. just to hear him laugh again. he hates himself for what he made jamie do. the guilt has eaten him alive and turned him into a mentally ill man who doesn't know how to deal with his own grief.
