My Squadron is like a family. Our ship is kinda small, but that means we don't have to waste fuel. There are four rooms. Me and Wyle have separate rooms, but the boys share a room. That means we have one extra room on board our ship.

We had to join the Rebellion. We had to. And this is what happened the day of the recruitment.

"What color should I dye my hair," I yelled.

"Maybe bleach your hair then go to electric blue to electric purple," Wyle yelled back.

Rii'lu was piloting the ship, but the ship's mine, he's just the pilot. Jako was somewhere on the ship, maybe in the turrets.

"Ooh, that's a good idea, Wyle!"

"Thanks, Athena!"

Wyle and I are like sisters. We are a lot alike. We are warriors and we care about our team.

"GUYS, TIES INCOMING, GET TO THE TURRETS!"

Wyle and I looked at each other, wide-eyed. We went to the turrets and started shooting until something started shooting with us.

"Hello, Freiter. My name is Captain Syndulla with the Rebellion. Requesting to dock."

"Permission granted, Captain Syndulla."

Ohh, Rii'lu, you did not even talk to me about letting them board. I would recognize that name anywhere. And it will only bring us trouble.

I stormed up into the cargo bay and crossed my arms, standing behind my team.

The crew of the other ship came in. A twi'lek, two human males, a mandalorian, and a lasat! Plus a droid.

"Hello, are you the captain of this ship," she asked, addressing Rii'lu, who snorted.

"I'm not the captain, or even the leader. I'm only the pilot."

I push through my team. "I'm the captain, and the leader. And no, we will not fight for the Rebellion, we are fighting for our planet."

"But, we need you. You're some of the best fighters. Please," the male boy said.

I walked up to him and said, "No. My answer is final." Because I'm, like, 15, I'm almost always underestimated, and by the shock on all their faces, they're not used to it.

"Now, please leave, you're damaging my ship even more."

"Wait, your ship? I thought he was the pilot."

I sighed. "Just because he is the pilot doesn't mean he owns it. Now leave."

"I'm very sorry but you have to come with us."

"Let us discuss," said Wyle.

"Sure," said Captain Syndulla.

"Thanks."

We walked off to a hallway.

"We're not actually considering this, are we? I mean, the Rebellion always causes problems for our people and everyone. The Empire wouldn't have to work on new projects for 'protection', and stuff. They would most likely just leave us to our own devices," I said.

"Yeah, but if we help them, then the more chance we defeat the Empire and, boom, no more problems," Wyle countered.

We looked at the boys.

"Sorry, A, but I agree with Le."

"Yeah, me too."

I sighed. "Fine, we'll give them a chance. But I still don't trust them. I don't trust anyone but you guys."

"Yeah, but who knows, maybe we'll warm up to them," Le comforted.

We walked back into the cargo bay, and delivered our news with conditions. 1, we keep our ship, 2, we have to be in the same group, and 3, our name is Siren Squadron.

But little did they know, Ezra Bridger was listening to their discussion.
