Luke - Daddy's Girl

"Come on Amelia," I said. I was holding her, trying to get her to stop crying. She had yet to wear herself out, but she also slept a lot last night.

"Amelia, Daddy will be home soon. I promise," I said. I was exhausted and all she's done all day is cry, so I haven't gotten anything done yet. I might have to take Luke up on the offer of having a housekeeper.

Amelia screamed louder as I bounced her a little more. "Daddy's home love. He'll be inside in just a minute." She continued to cry anyways.

"How's my two favorite girls?" Luke as as he walked in the door. He'd been at the studio all day, and our daughter was crying because she missed him so much.

"Better now," I said. Amelia had finally quit crying, which was good, but now I had to convince Luke to hold her while I finished making dinner.

"Aw, is my baby girl missing her daddy?" Luke asked, walking over and smiling down at Amelia.

"She's a total Daddy's Girl," I said, bouncing her a little as a smile grew on her face at the sight of her dad.

"Oh no," he said, giggling at her. "What're we ever going to do about that?"

Amelia began to giggle more as Luke picked her up and kissed her cheek. She might be a Daddy's girl, but Luke's the best dad in the world. I can live in peace knowing she's attached to someone as amazing as Luke.
