1. The Talk

Sloane's POV

"Now let's talk..." we were all face to face but in this moment I wasn't afraid of what she was going to do with the gun but what Kai was going to say.

"Baby listen..." I started as I watched
Emerald paced the floor in that beautiful red dress as she replayed all the events in her head.
"So what part of you thought that it was cool to even consider trying to do anything with him?" She turned to who was now shaking in the corner. When she didn't answer she turned to me.

"I told you I wasn't going down this road again." She held back her tears while pointing the gun at Kai. Once she turned her back to me I knew she was serious. She held the gun still in Kai's direction with a bullet in the chamber.

"I wouldn't have have you my son... asked you to be my wife if I was still on some bullshit..." She lowered the gun taking the clip out. With another deep breath she told Kai to come closer telling me to explain it again as she directed us to the kitchen.

"And you didn't feel the need to tell me that she was coming on to you?" She still waved the gun.

"Your bff had her mouth on my dick when I woke up. I realized it wasn't you and I kicked her out." The story was simple and it was apparent that Kai told her something different. I could tell that her mind was running wild.

"So I'm going to assume that all of the messages you showed me before were fake." She looked at Kai. Emerald pulled out her phone looking at some screen shots. I couldn't believe that she would go through such lengths to pull this off. Kai began stumbling over her words when Emerald shoved the phone in her face.
"You shouldn't be the only one to call him daddy." She looked me up and down. I couldn't believe she was still playing this game.
"Bitch are you stupid?" I snatched the phone out of Emerald's had to look at the counterfeit messages. They indeed looked real and made it seem like I was really trying to get at her. She sat quite as I read. The message were vivid and included way more than it should have.

"I made you my child's god parent and all you did was try to steal my fiancé. Bitch speak!" Before I could grab her Emerald had her hands around Kai's neck and definitely not in the kinky way I like.

"Emerald let her go. It's not even worth it!" I shouted as I tried to rip her hands from her neck. Once I did get her hands away I healed them behind her back. I turned her to face me and spoke so felt to her while Kai laid trying to catch her breath. At least she didn't shoot her.

"You don't need to do that. People lie everyday and letting her know your done is enough!" It was like I could feel her blood boiling while her body was pressed against mine. I had to hold her like it was the last time I would ever see her to restrain her. Kai had been there for her when her sister's couldn't and I know it meant a lot to her and this was probably crushing her.

"You need to tell her about you the other reason you and Deontay were beefing!" Kai yelled from the floor with what little voice she had left.

"You still think that shit was about you!? I fucked you once in the back if Tay's car almost 4 years ago and passed you around to everyone including my father." I said before she could blow it up. Emerald's and I had been messing around for almost 3 years so it was way before her.

"You and your basic ass pussy was never the reason why Tay and I stopped fucking with each other so don't flatter yourself bitch." I yelled over Emerald's shoulder Ashe she tried everything to hurt me physically. Emerald fought to get away but she should know that I know all her moves by now.

"Are you serious? Both of y'all are liars! So is this why Deontay didn't want me at that fucking hospital?" She became more and more violent.

"It was an entire year before you stared paying me any real attention. I had been wildin my whole life and it stopped that night at the Waffle House and you know it." All I could see is her throwing that ring back in my face and I couldn't bare the feeling. She had been with me through my drug and family problems since we were damn kids.
I repeated the timeline to her making her calm down.

"You let me sit in this girl's face, befriended her and all this other shit just for y'all to have all this history?" She looked up at me.

"The shit was old E. I thought the lil bitch turned a new leaf. Plus y'all were already tight before you moved in with me. That's when times were good. Before the fire,  before Lacey, and now look you had my baby." I tried to rejog her memory to let her know it hadn't been all bad. It was surprising that the baby hadn't started crying since we were so loud.

"It's really disgusting that you could do some shit like this." She whispered loud enough that Kai obviously could hear. Emerald's didn't fight my kisses so I was in good spirits. I had just graced her favorite spot on her neck, knowing that she couldn't resist. After getting the reaction I wanted Kai just had to speak.

"You just had to share. You have one of the biggest bosses in the city... oh wait you had both of them." The smug laugh that she gave off sent Emerald in to a fit of rage.

"Let me go." She said calmly and too calmly for my liking. I debated as to what to do when she spoke again.
"You better leave and leave now." I tried to help her but she wasn't receptive.
"Leave? No I'm going to get this off my chest. You think this is love? What's stopping you from dipping out on him like you did Tay? So much for ride or die." Kai continue.

"Baby let me go. I'm not going to say it  again."

"You can not shoot this girl!" I looked at Emerald who didn't care about anything anymore.

"The only person who was going to have Deontay Robbins baby was me. Before he decided he wanted your tired ass back anyway." At this point it was out of my hands. Kai's statement only further validated her ex's infidelity and she had a right to feel a type of way. She punched Kai directly in the nose when I let her go. When Kai fell to the ground Emerald took the time to grab her by her neck sitting her up right only to hug her again. Kai's blood was now spilling on out new wood floors. Kai tried putting up a fight but it was worth it. Emerald drug her out to the hallway that lead to the elevator.

"Let me tell you this you lying conniving bitch. You wanted what I have so bad you wanted to take by any means which means I'm doing something right. That man in there isn't going anywhere until I say so. So go ahead and slither up to Deontay and try to catch a check. Oh, and the next time your nasty ass comes around me or my family again that's your life." She let her go and threw all of her bags back out with her. She the marched over to me and punched me dead in my chest. My hear started to beat a mile a minute.
Damn this is what it's like to not want to loose someone. I thought to myself. I have definitely fucked up relationships before but this was on another level.

"You didn't think so say that you knew her?" She reiterated her question. Her voice was calm but I could still sense a little anger.

"It was a year before you gave me any love. I was still Sloane the bro who you talked to every few months. You didn't even know I had been wanting you ever since we were 16. An actual reason why Deontay and I fell out was over you and that baby for me it wasn't fully about the money. I would have never did you like that and when I spoke up about it he had a problem. I guess I wasn't supposed to be that close to you to find out but when I did  I couldn't... He was wrong for making you go through that." There was a huge build up of shit that caused Deontay and I to be at each other's throats and there was still more to unpack. The year before E came to me was nothing short of a world wind.
"Come on baby give me some credit. I dropped everything for us." I grew irritated.

"Baby it's not you. I'm grateful for you and the man you have become and the women you made me. I'm just..." she shrugged her shoulders. I didn't know if she wanted to cry or still beat me up.

"Like you said. You have to be doing something right. We are on top of the world. We own club and have property all over. Our love is our brand and people hate it Emerald." I used her words against her. She finally put the gun away later taking her shoes off. She was quite when I took a seat. Emerald went in to hyper mode when she noticed how much blood was was on the floor.

"Slow down." I popped up when she began scrubbing the floor for dear life. I placed my hands on her shoulders giving her a massage. She let me help release the tension from the day.

"Just relax." I took the mop from her hand. I must have been doing my job based off of her moans.

"Looks like I should have been a masseuse." I whispered in her ear causing her to giggle a little.

"I can't stand you." She rolled her eyes at me when she turned around. My hands when from her shoulders to her ass when Khalil's tiny voice boomed though the halls. It took us a few seconds to venture to his room to see what was wrong. When we did his room was room was a mess.
