The walk to Neringoko Farm, as Sachi had expected, was not a pleasant one. From the very moment that her and Sasuke had exited the Uchiha compound and entered the main part of the village, Sachi’s head had started to hurt. There were too many voices and too many emotions. It took all of Sachi’s willpower to keep them from overwhelming her entirely. Not to mention that she also had to focus on not slipping into the kitty’s mind as their minds were still connected.

Sachi and Sasuke had made it through the main part of the village and were now on the outskirts on the village where there were less houses and people. Sachi’s head felt a little better now that it was no longer being assaulted by so many voices and feelings. However, now that she no longer had to fight off the voices and feelings, she found herself really, really exhausted.

It took everything in her not to just plop down onto the ground and take a nap.

We’re almost there, just a little longer. I can do this.

As she told herself this, the world began to spin. She came to a stop as she waited for the dizziness to pass.

“Mew?” The kitty let out a concerned meow. At the same time the words “Are you okay?” ran through her mind. Sachi also registered Sasuke’s voice in the mix, asking her if she was okay.Sachi turned her gaze downwards towards the kitten and opened her mouth to reply. She stopped abruptly as she found herself staring into her own eyes.

Not again. Sachi inwardly groaned. She focused. I’m human. I’m human. I’m not a cat. I’m not a cat. Sachi’s concentration paid off as she soon found herself staring at the kitten’s eyes rather than her own.

I’m fine. Just a little tired. Sachi mustered a smile towards the kitten. She told the same thing out loud to Sasuke, meeting his onyx eyes. “I’m fine. Just a little tired.”

“You sure?” His words were coated with skepticism.

Sachi gave a determined nod. “I’m fine. We’re almost there.” She forced herself into motion, once again walking towards their destination; she felt Sasuke following after her.

True to her own words, Sachi soon found herself standing in front of the very sign that she had seen in the kitten’s memories. The sign that read “Neringoko Farm.” Sachi turned to point out the sign to Sasuke when she suddenly felt a strong burst of emotion.

Sister! She saw her sister! She had missed her so much. Sachi let me go. At the sound of her name, Sachi became aware of herself again. Fighting to stay in her own head, Sachi loosened the grip on the kitten and placed her on the ground.

At being released, Sachi ran towards her sister. She was so happy to see her; they had only been separated for a day, but it felt so much longer than that.

“Sachi are you okay?” At Sasuke’s voice, Sachi again struggled to regain her awareness of her own being.

I’m a human; I’m a human girl. I’m not a cat. I’m not a cat. Focusing intently, Sachi managed to pull herself back into her own body. Trying to ignore the dizziness that was nauseating, Sachi opened her mouth to respond to Sasuke’s inquiry. However, the words never left her mouth as the world around her suddenly fell into shadows.

                                                                    ~*~

Sachi’s eyes flickered open, an expanse of white filling her vision.

A ceiling? Where am I? What happened?

Sachi’s eyebrows scrunched together as she recalled the last thing that she remembered.
