Chapter 8

Iida's P.O.V
When I heard Jirou scream, I knew something terrible had happened.

"KAMINARI!!" That shout echoed throughout the warehouse, it chilled us to the bone, just like Aoyama's scream.

I wanted to burst out from my hiding spot but that would disrupt the plan, Yaoyorozu told us this would happen, she said lives might be lost, but I didn't think it would actually become a reality.

No Tenya, you must not think like that, there's still hope that Kaminari is alive, there's still a chance, there's still hope........... right?

"I can't take this anymore, I'm going in, plan or no plan," Kirishima harshly whispered, I grabbed his arm before he made a move.

"No Kirishima, this was expected, we need to follow the plan, just wait a little longer," I pleaded.

"How much more is 'a little longer'" He said, his voice cracking,

"And what do you mean this was expected, I'm losing another friend right in front of my eyes, again," He was on the brink of tears now,

You want me to just sit here and do nothing, you want me to let him die, you want me to 'wait' for the perfect timing," He was angry, the silent angry.

Kirishima rarely got this angry, seeing him like this was something I could have never imagined before.

"I too want to save Kaminari but we were told to stay in this spot for a reason, Sero, Mina and Hagakure are in there with them, they can save him Kirishima, just trust them," I said.

"Alright, fine, I'll go with the plan," He said, he looked lost.

"I know you're hiding, come out, it's not like I have a zoom quirk for nothing," That damn voice, it angered me.

Suddenly a huge shadow grabbed Kirishima and I by the throat.

"And it's not like I stole dark shadow for nothing."

Todoroki's P.O.V
The diversion was working but the problem was time. Pro heroes were around the corner, if they came, our plans for saving everyone 'unnoticed' would be a flop.

The diversion, the battle wasn't going to last long, Midoriya was stronger than before, eventhough I had just caught glimpses of the battle, I knew for a fact that we had limited time.

The others could hold him back only a little longer, Yaoyorozu and I had to just rescue our friends, then the pro heroes would come at about that time, we could battle and end Midoriya.

You know things are not going to end that way Shoto, everything comes with a price, stop being foolish.

The battle between Kaminari and Midoriya was intense, the way Midoriya switched quirks was sickening and I hate to admit it but scary, that guy could fight, like crazy fight.

But something he said during the battle was what made me worried,

"Preferably Yaoyorozu and Todoroki."

He wanted the both of our quirks, if he stole anymore, his powers would just go crazy, it would get harder to defeat him.

I could hear the commotion from outside the warehouse, I wanted to go in and help, see if there was anything I could do to but I need to stay with Yaoyorozu.

Everyone was depending on the both of us, we had to get our friends. Yaoyorozu had told us her plan but I knew there was something else she was hiding.

We were running towards the back of the warehouse, our captured friends were supposedly there.

I looked at her, she was deep in thought and she was clearly disturbed by whatever she was thinking.

She stopped.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"The four of you, he said four but there were six of us during that battle," She said to no one in particular.

"What do you mean?" I said, clearly lost.

"He said four for a reason, there were clearly six of us back then, he emphasized on the number four more than once, there has to be a reason, he's hinting something," She said, still disturbed and then she suddenly looked at me.

"He's predicted this, almost everything, remember he wanted to take down Jirou, thinking it would be Kaminari's weak spot so that he could easily manipulate him into telling our plan but then Iida kicked Midoriya so his plan kinda failed," She stopped to catch her breath.

"What are you getting at?" I said, now really confused.

"He's doing the same thing again Todoroki, manipulation, using Kaminari or Jirou as bait to get either of their quirks and to use Tokoyami's quirk to trigger Tsu. If just a few of them are triggered, he can easily manipulate them into telling them all the infomation. He planned this, all of this," She looked like she was going to explode.

"He kept on saying the four of us, as in mockery, saying that to show that there are weak people amongst us, he considered us as weaklings to the point where he ignored the presence of six to just four because he was confident that we would falter," Anger laced her voice.

"He stole Tokoyami's quirk for a reason, he stole Shinsou's quirk for a reason, all of it was part of his plan, he just needed the six of us so his plan could work but instead we made it easier for him, we bought our entire class,"

"Why didn't I see this before, how could I be this naive, I should have thought things through, the diversion won't last long, the pro heroes will arrive, we are running out of time and there's probably more to his stupid scheme!!" She almost screamed.

I had neve seen her this frustrated, she was always calm, but this took her to the breaking point. She had thought about our plan a lot, organised everyone, she didn't want to let anyone down so she constantly blames herself.

She looked at me, an expression I didn't see in a long time, the very same expression she gave me during the time we had to fight Aizawa sensei, the look where she's lost all confidence in herself.

"Todoroki," She whispered.

"I don't know what to do."

"I don't think anyone could have seen through Midoriya's plan except you. We have the upper hand, there's no way he'd think that we figured out his plan, we're almost at the back of the warehouse, whether the pro heroes arrive now or not doesn't matter, we'll figure it out, you don't have to do this on your own, we're all here for you." I finished.

She looked at me, her eyes filled with tears.

"You're quite the speaker, aren't you?" She chuckled shakily.

I smiled,

"I have a plan, follow me," She grinned.

We entered the warehouse, making sure to blend in with the shadows.

"Right on time, Shoto,"

That voice, it was him, Dabi.
