Apocalypse book 1

Ellie POV

"ELLIE!!" Yelled my roommate Lilian
"What? Is it worth waking me up?" I asked
"I saw Kyle kiss you again!" She squealed
"He does that all the time" I said back
"Yah but don't you think he likes you?!"
"We are only best friends." I stated defensively,
"OMG how cute of a couple you would be!! The cutest guy and cutest girl at camp! EEKK!" She screamed
"Lilian CALM DOWN! Plus we are gonna be late for breakfast."
"Fine..."
I quickly got dressed into a black tang top, a flannel shirt and a pair of denim shorts. I quickly put on my shoes. Lilian was wearing a grey shirt and black leggings. I quickly raced out the door with Lilian behind me. In the elevator Lilian kept coming up with what would happen if I dated Kyle. We finally got to the cafeteria after Lilian kept ranting about "Kylie". Yep that's how Ellie and Kyle are mashed together.

I sat at the table in the right left corner. That's where me, Lilian, Kyle, Caleb, Tracy, Lavender and Lucas sit.
There were only 100 teens in the cafeteria. The camp was divided up into 4 parts so there wasn't a lot of clutter. 1, Family, 2 Adults, 3 teens, and 4, The orphanage. Yeah it seemed weird but it's actually not.

No one talked at all during breakfast. There wasn't much to talk about. We aren't like teens from 200 years ago. We don't gossip about people, there's no new clothing line, no celebrity drama. Just people living on a dying rock. Scientists have estimated another 200 years till earth and 48% of population die. The only thing we can talk about is what drama is going on between us and enemies. Your probably wondering who the "enemies" are. Well you might know about the fighting of America and North Korea. Well after 30 years, North Korea and Americas hatred strengthened. North Korea finally declared war. The allies were mostly Japan, Russia and a few other countries. Eventually America got allies like South Korea, some of China and Mexico. Later on almost all of the world joined in. At first it wasn't bad. It was like a very small war. Eventually everywhere was a big war battle everywhere. It got really bad. Luckily it died down a bit for now. It's been that way for 20 years. Sadly stuff is getting worst.

    "Hmph" sighed lavender picking at her eggs. There wasn't much to do but eat.
"Kyle can you please past some salt?" Lucas asked politely. Kyle past some salt and continued eating his cereal. We continued eating until 9:30. We headed to the school building.

A/N ok next chapter I'm gonna just show you how everyone looks cause I'm too lazy to continue writing for today and there not just stick figures in your brain.
