15. Battle Scars

Kenai P.O.V.

The last two weeks weren't much better than the two weeks before. Ofcourse, Xavier made a choice between Nora and me and Nora made up with her true mate Delta. For me and Xavier it's a different story. It looks like Xavier isn't so sure about his choice because he always points out I'm nothing like Nora.

He thinks I don't know it but I know he's blaming me for making him chose between his mate and the girl he thinks he loves. Avery is mad at him for thinking this way. We actually became friends with Nora. Delta is the perfect mate and accepted her appologie. 

''Yo Kenai! are you coming with us? we are going for a run.'' asks Meredith out of nowhere. I probably was lost in my thoughts for a long time. ''Yeah I'm coming with you. who else is coming?'' I really hope it will be just the two or three of us. (If Sapp decides she wants to come with us.) 

(AN: I forgot the names I gave the wolves of Meredith and Delta. I also have no idea if I named them earlier. So if you see two different names for the same wolf, I forgot XD)

''Yes Kenai. It will be just the two of us. The others have no time.'' she said. Avery got happy when she thought about running so I agreed and in 10 minutes we were running in the woods. 

''Mere, how did you meet Gideon?'' I asked her. I never heard that story.

''hmmm... well, I'm best friends with Sapphire for almost my whole life so that made it easier to identify my mate and we also knew each other. I mean, they are twins...'' she laughed at the end.

''It was actually one week after my birthday when I found out he was my mate. He wasn't by my birthday party because he was patrolling and never made it in time. We had times where we not saw each other for nearly a week or two and this was no different. 

however, when we saw each other it was like a switch flipped and we ran to each other and kissed.'' she said. I thought about it. That is really a nice way to meet your mate. I wonder how Xavier was when he was younger. Probably a asshole though. 

''shall we go back?'' Meredith asks, and when I wanted to give an answer we heard wolves howling. ''Rouges!'' we scream. We run in the direction of the howls and go head first in battle. 

Meredith POV

It was nice, speaking with Kenai. She is really easy to talk to but also really stubborn as it seems. She doesn't want to go with me away from the fight! If something happens to her we all have a big problem. 

When she shifted everything became a blur and after a minute or two, all the rouges were down or ran away. Everyone who was fighting looked at our Queen with open mouths. 

''Stop staring.'' was the only thing she said before she shifted. But when she did, all the scars on her body came as a surprise and a loud growl was heard. The King is coming. 

Hey! this is a short chapter, I know. but I wrote 500 words at least. It's a long time ago since my last update and I had a PC I could use. So here is a chapter. The next chapter will not be published for at least three weeks. 

I'm in my last year of highschool so it's pretty busy. Since I'm from the Netherlands our scholing system is different so I think you can say I'm in my senior year?? I have no idea.
