Chapter 12

'Lunch...'

It is now lunch time, I get my lunch and sit down at the same table alone like on the first day of school. I begin eating my food. I then hear something odd behind me. I look behind me, no one except people sitting in occupied tables. I turn around-.

(Gets startled)

Sophia: Hey.

Tomakai says with a serious face.

Tomakai: Please don't scare me like that.

She sits down.

Sophia: Sure but i won't promise it.

I look at her with one eye brow up. I then say.

Tomakai: So, have you met any friends?

Sophia: Not really, i met this one girl named Karen, she's really nice but i only have her for one period and that's AP Math.

I drink my soda. I put down my soda can and say.

Tomakai: Well, you'll eventually met new friends.

She looks down.

Sophia: I don't know, I'm not good at socializing with others for long periods of time. Like Karen, i can simply ask for help and she'll help me but to maintain a conversation, i can't do that.

She keeps looking down.

Tomakai: Look Sophia, not everyone can maintain a conversation, but if the conversation is about something like a TV Show. Then that can last for a while.

Sophia lifts her head up and she looks at me with steady eyes.

Sophia: You know what, your not wrong.

She stops for a second.

Sophia: Do you have any friends who are female?

I put down my burger.

Tomakai: Yeah, i do.

She looks at me.

Sophia: Can i met them?

Tomakai's Mind: I guess it'll be fine. She can be good friends with Kelly since she's a fresh man.

Tomakai: Sure.

Sophia: Yay! I hope i can be friends with them. (She smiles)

I smile to. She then looks at me.

Sophia: Hey want a drink?

Tomakai: Sure.

I take a bite of my burger.

Sophia: Is Ramune okay?

I put down my burger.

Tomakai: Ramune??

Sophia: Yeah, that one Japanese soda drink. Its really good.

Tomakai: I never tasted it but sure.

Sophia: Okay, I'll be right back, wait here.

Tomakai: Okay

She walks away. I grab my burger and take another bite. As I'm chewing my food, i grab my soda. I drink it and put it down. I hear footsteps coming back. I guess she's back but that fast?

???: Hey have you seen a dude named John?

I turn around. Its someone I've never seen before.

Tomakai: No.

???: Oh, okay. Thanks Tomakai.

I turn back around. I then realized he called my name. Someone i don't know knows me. I turn around to look at him and stand up.

Tomakai: How do you know me?

I look at him with a skeptical face. He looks at me with a neutral face.

???: Don't worry about it. I knew you before you even existed. I was here before anyone in this story. Even before those sinful siblings.

I start to get curious of who is this man.

Tomakai: Okay, i don't know what you mean by that but what do you mean you knew me before my existence?

???: Oh, Tomakai. Of course you don't know "him" but maybe one day you will... Or maybe not. Anyways, i got things to do, so I'm gonna leave now.

He turns around to walk away.

Tomakai: Wait!

He stops.

Tomakai: What's your name?

He stands there for a few seconds, then he responds.

???: My name, is Kuro.

He starts walking away.

I stand there, confused and wondering what just happened. I'm still wondering what he- i mean Kuro mean't he knew me before my existence? Man, what the heck is going on!

Sophia: Hey, I'm back.

I turn to Sophia. She see's my face.

Sophia: You okay.

I go back to my normal state with a neutral face.

Tomakai: Yeah. I'm okay.

Sophia: If you say so.

Sophia sits down. I take a sit as well.

Sophia: Here's your Ramune drink.

I grab it.

Tomakai: Thanks.

I open it and take a sip. I open my eyes wide open. I put down the drink.

Tomakai: Wow, this is actually pretty good.

Sophia: I know right. I've been drinking this since-

She stops talking. I look at her confused.

Sophia: Huh? Oh, I've had these since i was 8. It is my favorite drink.

I wanna question about what just happened but, i rather not. Most likely she tried remembering it. Although, something feels off.

Something about that Kuro dude doesn't feel right. He's actually scaring me now. I wonder if I'll see him again.
