"I have the best place to show you!" The Doctor said, with her usual childlike glee.
"Better than last time?" Oracle asked, a bit sarcastically.
"Duh!" The Doctor ran around the console, pressing random buttons. She smiled, slightly maniacally. Oracle wondered if he was traveling with a madwoman. "You've never been to Earth, right? We're going to the pinnacle of Earth history, the Middle Ages!"
Oracle rolled his eyes. "Whatever that is. When do I get my sonic?"
"When you've earned it." The Doctor said cheekily. A few minutes later, the TARDIS materialized in a field near a medieval city. "Now, due to the meteor, this is a few billion more years in the future, but basically the same thing." Her face fell slightly when she mentioned the meteor. "C'mon then," she said offhandedly and slightly sadly. She walked out and Oracle followed her. "Gosh, it's toasty!" The Doctor was back to her normal childish mindset, but Oracle could tell she wasn't okay. As the Doctor babbled about astrophysics and evolution, Oracle wrapped an arm around her. "You did the right thing." He murmured to her.
"Yeah, yeah," she wrenched herself out of his grip. "So, let's go explore!" She skipped over to the guard in front of the city's walls and showed a piece of psychic paper. The guard nodded and let her and Oracle in. "So Oracle, what do you want to see?" The doctor asked. Oracle felt a tap on his shoulder.
"Are you from the future?" A teenage boy asked softly. The doctor looked up. "Yes, actually. Are you?" She responded.
"Don't think so." The boy said, sounding a little nervous. "Follow me."
"You heard him!" The doctor walked into the alleyway with the teenager, leaving Oracle to follow them. Oracle didn't trust the boy but he trailed after. Soon, they reached a small area with some fabric draped over some tall sticks. The kid went into his makeshift tent and Oracle and the Doctor followed.

The boy opened his leather bag and pulled out an ornate sword, covered in incomprehensible Gallifreyan writing. The end was blue. "Do you know what this is, then?" He asked.
The doctor said something in Gallifreyan. "Basically, a sonic sword. Where'd you find this?"
"Sonic?" The boy asked. "I found it here one day."
"Future technology." The doctor waved her hand. "What's your name?"
"I'm Kasha." The boy bowed. The doctor flicked out her sonic screwdriver and scanned him with it. Then she scanned the sword. Kasha's eyes went wide. "The sword does that sometimes. Witchcraft."
"Not witchcraft, time lord science. Oh, aren't those the same thing? Oracle, what's up?" The doctor noticed Oracle was being very quiet.
"I don't trust him." Oracle said simply.
"Oh, don't be rude!"
"He knows about our planet. He's lying."
"No, he's not. Right Kasha?"
Kasha was looking the other way. The Doctor and Oracle turned around just in time for Kasha to pick up his sword, shove them and say run, as a fireball hurtled toward them.
"What was that?!" Oracle yelled, once they'd found another alleyway to hide into.
"Shhh!" Kasha put his finger to Oracle's lips and Oracle shoved it away.
"Who are they?" Oracle grudgingly asked softer. "And what do you know about time lords?"
"They are the gifted. The King's elite guardsmen with fantastical powers." Kasha whispered.
"What do you know about time lords?" Oracle asked again.
"Not now, Oracle." The Doctor said.
"Duck!" Kasha screamed as a fireball flew over their heads again. They heard the men's horses trot somewhere else and Kasha took a deep breath. "They're after me. For some reason. I've been running my whole life."
"What about your parents?" The doctor asked.
"I don't... remember." Kasha's face scrunched up. "Anyway, they haven't sent the dogs out yet, so we're fairly safe. C'mon, I'll show you my other home." Kasha began to weave through the alleys and the timelords followed.

The next place was lot bigger and more shaded. Kasha lit a fire. Just then, a guard appeared out of thin air. He grabbed the Doctor and disappeared, with her.
"Start. Explaining." Oracle said harshly.
"I don't remember! I don't remember anything! Are we going to save your friend or not?!" Kasha snapped.
"Why did they take her?" Oracle asked.
"Please, no questions." Kasha said softly. "They've taken her to the palace dungeon most likely. Hard to get into, but I could do it. I'm good at tricks."
"Are you a criminal?"
"Maybe. They don't send the gifted after mere criminals..."
"So you're worse?"
"No questions!" Kasha said. "We have to pretend to be nobles. Put these on." He gave Oracle some expensive looking clothes. They changed quickly. "Now, how did you get here?" Kasha asked.
"TARDIS. Time and Relative—"
"Dimension in space, I know. Get it. I'll sneak into the palace, you pick me up when I get your friend. Got it? Don't ask why to trust me."
Oracle's mind was swimming with questions but he didn't know what they were doing with the doctor. This was the best plan they had.
"Thing is, you'll need to know where I am." He stuck a metal eyepatch on Oracle. Then he attached a small camera to his helmet and turned it on. Oracle's right eye that was covered by the eyepatch could now see what Kasha was seeing. Kasha put a finger to Oracle's lips. "No questions." He reminded. Oracle reluctantly nodded. "Right. I'll get the TARDIS." He walked off in that direction, while Kasha headed for the palace.

The doctor was surprised. She'd been dragged into a cell and just chained up. No torture or anything. Simple, but classic. She laughed quietly and soniced the locks. Easy.

Kasha pranced up to the palace, wearing armor. He had his sword in his belt, just in case. He walked in and the guard didn't even question him. A knight approached him.
"Ayleth, where've you been? You've been gone for weeks. Guys, it's Ayleth!"

Other knights walked over, taking off their helmets. "Is it really you?" One asked.
"Uh, yes." Kasha said. "Don't tell anyone, but I got assigned to a top secret mission. And right now, I really need to go to the dungeon to interrogate someone."
"You sound different." Said one of the knights.
"I have a cold." Kasha coughed to make it sound more convincing.
A knight pulled off Kasha's helmet and Kasha ran. The knights ran after him, but Kasha was faster. He led them down corridors and eventually lost them.

Oracle was getting bored of waiting. He didn't know what the heck Kasha was doing, and then a hand closed around the camera and smashed it. Oracle took off the eyepatch. "Guess I'm on my own.." he sighed. The TARDIS made an indignant noise. "Oh right. What do you say to storming the palace?" It made an affirmative sounding noise and started to phase.

Meanwhile, Kasha ran into the The doctor and they were heading for the TARDIS. Of course, it wasn't there. "I lost the camera. He probably got worried and went after us." Kasha said.
"Camera?" The Doctor asked.
"No questions!"
"Very well, let's go get him!" The doctor said smiling and went back to the castle with Kasha. This was getting tiring. The doctor showed her psychic paper to get them back in.

Oracle brought the TARDIS to the dungeon. The doctor wasn't there, of course. He started heading out and then bumped into the Doctor.
"Oh hello there, Oracle, fancy seeing you here." She said and smiled. Kasha waved. They turned around and we're about to go into the TARDIS when a fireball whizzed past Kasha's head. They started running. The gifted materialized in front of them.
"I am the messenger. I do not know what I am, or how I got here, but I'll see you soon." Kasha said firmly.
"Kasha what—?" The Doctor asked. A fireball was heading toward her and she was frozen like a deer in headlights. "No questions." Kasha said and leaped into the way to protect her. "Don't forget!" He screamed.

He disintegrated into a pile of dust when the flame hit him. Kasha's sword was unharmed and clattered to the ground. The Doctor picked it up and threw it to Oracle. Oracle had the look of a mad man in his eyes. The guardsmen shot fire at him, but he dodged with unnatural dexterity. He sliced them in half one by one, then stood over their bodies, almost proud that he'd killed them. The doctor crumpled to the ground, crying.
"Oracle, we never should've come here..." The Doctor said. Oracle hugged her and she didn't resist."Let's go somewhere else then." Oracle suggested. The doctor nodded. "Wherever and whenever. I guess you have your sonic now." They walked into the TARDIS, the doctor wondering why she brings pain wherever she goes.
