Everything was black. You could swear you heard voices. You didn't know where you were, but you were sure as heck sore. You felt weak, your breath labored. You tried to focus on regaining your strength before doing much else.

Finally, you opened your eyes, finding you were in an alley. You managed to force yourself to your feet. You could smell.. pleasant smells. There was a bakery nearby, no-doubt, but food wasn't the most important thing right now. You needed to find out where you were.

You stepped out of the alley, noticing a few people standing around, living their lives. You eventually spotted a sign, saying exactly where you were. It was an odd name, but, you had your answer.

Traverse Town. You were in Traverse Town. Where Traverse Town was, however, you had no honest idea. You began to walk around. Some of the townsfolk spotted you immediately. You were definitely the odd one out. You were the newest face there, so of course you'd be the odd one out.

You tried to keep your head down and not arouse suspicions. Unfortunately, that was a bad idea, as you walked headlong into someone tall with a green shirt and a black vest. Walking into him, you sprang backward, falling right onto your rump.

He glanced up, noticing a group of three, all of them turning to you. Another human, a dog with long black ears, and a white duck. The duck didn't seem too happy with you, though the human and dog seemed pretty neutral about what had just happened

"O-oh! Sorry!" you called out, feeling absolutely horrible for walking right into somebody!

The human, who had awfully spiky brown hair, chuckled a bit at the predicament. "Hey, its alright. It looked like you had something else on your mind. You alright, Goofy?"

The tall canine nodded. "Yup! I'm fine. You alright there?" said Goofy, looking to you. You were still embarrassed, but nodded. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. I was sore already, so this doesn't change anything."

Goofy did something quite kind, offering his hand to help you up. You took the hand, the canine assisting you back to your feet. "Heh.. Thanks. I have no idea where my head was." you explained. You decided to not be rude, and introduce yourself. Maybe these guys were friendly? They seemed like it.

"I'm (Y/N), by the way. Sorry again. A lots happened recently.." you explained. "I'm from.. uhh.." It was odd. You knew the name of where you'd come from, right? Why couldn't you remember it? "Its.. oddly not coming to me right now."

The human shrugged. "I'm Sora. This is Goofy, and this is Donald." Sora introduced himself, and his two companions. You smiled softly. "Its nice to meet you three, even if we didn't meet on the best of terms." you let out an awkward chuckle, rubbing the back of your neck a bit.

"So, (Y/N)? How did you get here?" asked Goofy. Donald still seemed sort of aggravated, but less-so than when you'd first met them.

"Well, there was a cave, and writing on the walls. It said 'Follow the Light' in a ton of odd languages, and it all lead to a door. The second I touched the door.. I don't know. I ended up in an alley near here." you explained. Sora's expression changed. He seemed very curious about you now.

"That sounds really close to how I got here.." commented Sora. "Not exact, but a door in a cave, and light. It sort of lines up. Sort of.. Not exactly, but.." He paused, thinking it over for a moment. Goofy noticed Sora's attitude shifting. "Seems you and Sora got somethin' in common." Goofy may not have been the smartest, but he was far from dumb.

Sora snapped out of it after a moment. "Lets head to the shop. Maybe we can get some answers from the people around there." You nodded, agreeing to that idea. "Sounds good to me, Sora. Lead the way. I've got no clue where I'm going."

Sora nodded, walking off toward the shop, Donald and Goofy following. You followed too. You felt safer with this trio. You felt like you could trust them, but you weren't sure why.
