"everything just seems so difficult now."

a melodious tune of a violin filled the room, entertaining the customers in the cold restaurant. the eyes of the orange haired male started to wonder off towards other customers who had their partners as their company for the night.
seokjin had the feeling that his boyfriend would not show up, again. the boy no longer had the faith as he stood up, leaving his current location.
this seemed to be the only problem in their relationship. taehyung is working as an employee in a banking company, taking up more of his time with work and not being able to spare some time with his boyfriend, seokjin.
few years back, when they were still in college, the couple could spend more times with each other as they share the same class and the same dorm room. being apart was almost impossible for them, until they graduated.
taehyung and seokjin no longer live together, no longer had the same class, no longer had the time to spend with each other.
seokjin was able to be more understanding and held back his own feelings. taehyung sure loved his boyfriend, but he was always drowned in the pressure of his job, not noticing the upset seokjin.
he wanted to stay with him, he wanted to be more considerate toward him, he needed him, he loved him but the bond between them was slowly fading away.
tears welled up upon the corner of his eyes as the vision of his boyfriend's signature smile was formed into his mind. the times they spent together all at once, flashed into his memories. his embraces, his touch, suddenly felt around his figure.
the imaginary of seokjin was hurting him at every step he takes. a sudden grab upon his hand was felt, stopping his journey as he turned around.
his tie seemed to loosen up as beads of sweat covered his pale skin, his panting was intense, showing that he was out of breath, taehyung was right before him.
"seokjin..." he called, his desperate gaze met the watery eyes of seokjin. "i'm sorry." he wapped his hands around the older boy as he tightened the hug every second.
"i know..." said taehyung as he bowed down his head. "i promised," he paused his sentence, reaching out to grab the cold hands of his boyfriend. "i promised and i broke it again."
"i'm really sorry..."
"i'm trying really hard every single day to spare more time with you," explained taehyung as he looked at his boyfriend. "and i know using work as an excuse is not really unreasonable but," he paused once again. "trust me, seokjin, i really am trying."
"we used to be so close back in the days," said seokjin, forming a straight line with his lips.
"we'll be able to do things how we used to, seokjin. trust me, we will." taehyung once again brought seokjin's figure into his embrace with such desperation and guilt.
"when?!" seokjin pushed the younger male away out of frustration. "you kept on making promises and end up breaking them, taehyung!"
"seokjin..."
"what happened to us?" the tears that were long hidden behind taehyung's back finally broke out. "i tried to understand your situation but what about mine?"
"i keep on trying to understand you then what about me?" seokjin started to punch his own chest. "it's always you who i tried to understand then who's going to understand me, taehyung?!"
"i never lie when i say 'i love you' or 'i get it' to you."
"but the relationship that we keep dragging along here, isn't right." seokjin finally stated what he felt all along. "i think we're better off living our own lives."
"it's for our own happiness, taehyung..." seokjin left a long pause before he continued.
"we're over."
