geoff never knew that airport security could be so stressful. the queue snaked around the corner, families talking and couples kissing and children screaming and staff yelling the same instructions.

chaos.

he fumbled with his luggage, sorting it into boxes and haphazardly threw his phone into a box at the last second.
he went through unscathed, quickly repacking everything he took out, and headed to duty free for a coffee and breakfast. or- lunch. it was afternoon already and he hadn't eaten.

adrenaline.

he didn't notice the frantic dms from awsten, and his phone stayed firmly in his bag.

geoff's flight wasn't until an hour later, and he spent the time on his laptop, filling out college applications. it was tedious, but necessary, and with his earphones in, the atmosphere was kinda pleasant.

that was, until he heard a familiar voice ordering a frappuccino, not five feet away from where he was sat.
awsten.
he looked exhausted; purple under eye bags, white knuckles, shaking hands.
why was he here?

heart in his mouth, he called awsten over. he couldnt mistake that hair anywhere.
