the morning sun

I layed there, my eyes closed my body outstreched across my hard, cold floor and the sun shining on my face the heat from the sun started to warm the right side of my face. I started to pry my eyes open, the light blinded me so I squinted my eyes and pushed myself up my hands pressing against the smooth and slippery floor.

My eyes still blury collected the sunlight infront of me. I looked outside my tiny window with metal bars on the outside of it, I always wondered why those were there but I could never bring myself to ask since i'm not very good at talking to people. My mother always told me I would grow out of it but considering the fact that i'm 27 now I don't think it's just a faze, my attention was drawn to the kitchen where my ears picked up the sounds of dishes clanking.

My vision started to focous and I saw someone wearing a white flowey dress with a laced pattern, a smile spread across my face and I pushed my body up from off the ground. Getting up on my feet I took a few steps forward into the kitchen. I wrapped my long musculer arms around the woman that was standing in my kitchen

"hi"

A soft voice greeted me. That single word made my heart melt

"hi"

I responded my husky morning voice sounding like I was still half asleep. The woman that I was currently back hugging was Mia I met her in Elementry school when I was 11 she was a class below me but she still could make my heart practicly burst out of my chest.

When I was young I remember that I would just stare at her sometimes, I was so in love with her and I still am. Mia is one of the only people that I am able to talk to other than my mother, but she passed away a few years ago because of a car crash I do miss my mother everyday but since I have Mia I've become much better

"how are you feeling?"

her voice peacfully bringing me out of my thoughts

"I'm good, how are you?"

I asked my voice regaining its character

"I'm good too"

Mia turned around in my arms and looked up at me with a smile spread across her face. I could feel my heart flutter in my chest, I couldn't help but smile back at her

"you came back home so late last night"

she said maintaning her smile while looking deep into my eyes

"I did?"

I questioned while holding her warm body with my one arm as I brought my hand up to her face. My long slender fingers brushing against her silky smooth cheek,

"I don't remeber what I did"

"thats fine as long as you were safe"

Mia is always making sure that I'm okay and not hurt, it's always been that way ever since we met each other she has cared for me. I'm not sure when she started to like me but i'm glad she does now or else I don't know how I would have been, I owe my life to Mia.
