Grayson's pov
—I watch Ethan talk to Vanessa as I enter the lunch room alone. He's still mad that Angel basically asked if he was gay, and has almost made a fool out of her to Vanessa and Bella since.
I've beat his ass at home about it, literally. I pushed him and we fought over the whole situation. The way he's denying it and being so defensive, he definitely has something about that subject in the shadows.
"Oh look, its Angel's little puppet, aka my twin brother." Ethan chuckles as he looks at me.
"You're such a dick. Obviously you're hiding something if you go and be- friend the girl who took advantage of your twin brother, and also humiliated his girl friend. But, as Angel says, go off I guess." I huffed, walking away from the table. Ethan mumbled words to the two girls in front of him, but I didn't care. He was just a straight out asshole now.
I walked towards my car, and realized I rode with Ethan today. I cursed under my breathe and started walking in the direction of Angel's house. I know she's home, and probably alone. Her dad was on a business trip back in Castro, and her mom was probably at work.
I texted Angel as I walked, just letting her know I was on my way. Her response was just a bunch of red, playing card hearts. I smiled, she started using those because I do.
Angel's pov
—"Hey, baby." I opened the front door after hearing Grayson knock. He smiled at me as I opened the door wider, "so why'd you leave early?"
"Ethan was being a dick. As usual." He rolled his eyes as he spoke. I laughed softly as I sat across from him on the couch.
"I'm sorry. This is all my fault. I'll try to talk to him tomorrow, is that a good idea?" I ask, sighing. I didn't mean to ruin their relationship with a simple, dumb question.
"No. I don't want you to talk to him. He'll say something fucked up. We have to let him have his space." He sighed deeply and tilted his head back on the sofa. I nodded and got up.
"Are you hungry?" I asked, walking towards the kitchen. Grayson follows me in, but shakes his head.
"No, I'm not. Thank you though." He smiled, watching as I continued making the sandwich I had stopped making to answer the door.
"Lets go out for dinner tonight?" Grayson suggested. I nodded as I licked my finger clean of the mustard that had gotten on it.
"Fancy or casual?" I ask, putting all the condiments in the fridge.
"How are you feeling? Fancy or casual?" He asks back. I laugh and shrug.
"Lets do casual. We always go on fancy dates." I took a bite of my sandwich after my sentence. He nods, "okay. Let me have a bite?"
"You said you didnt want anything, so no." I rolled my eyes, hiding the sandwich behind my back.
"Is that what you're going to play?" He asks, his hands going behind my back. I laugh as I raise my arm up high, which only ends in him getting the sandwich.
"Forgot that I'm taller than you?" He laughed, taking a bite before handing it back. I rolled my eyes as I shoved him playfully. He chuckled, walking back into the living room.
