Chapter 22

Diego's POV

During break time,we took our normal seats at our table. Everybody was blooming especially Paul and Megan. Normally, from the first day I met them,it was obvious that they liked each other. We ordered our foods and we started eating. I also noticed that Fred was absent

"We have great news for everyone." Megan said smiling.
"We are all ears." Tamira said.

I saw Paul and Megan holding their hands and I saw the spark of love in their eyes.

"Megan and I are dating." Paul said.
"Congratulations, you guys are finally official." I said.
"We are happy for you both. Diana, where is your boyfriend?" Scott asked.
"His mother is sick. He said he had to leave and take care of her." Diana said.
"I'm sorry that your boyfriend is not around." I said
"Thanks Diego. I really miss Fred." Diana said.
"Guys,I would soon be leaving you guys to visit my family." Scott said.
"Wow,everyone is going to visit their families." Tamira said.
"My birthday is coming up and since you guys are the first people I made as friends in this school,you are my special guests." Paul said.
"We would be happy coming to your birthday, Paul." Diana said.

Diana's POV

After break,it was time to go back to class but I couldn't. Fred kept coming on my mind and it really disturbed me from focusing on my school work. I hope his mother would get well sooner. Presently, I was in a dark corner of the school thinking about my boyfriend. I heard footsteps behind me and I jolted. I was scared when I turned and finally saw that it was just Diego.

"I'm sorry for scaring you." Diego said."You should be in class."
"You too. Why are you here?" I asked.
"I should be asking that question to you."

I folded my arms and I felt tears running down my cheeks. I really felt this absence in my life. Fred means so much to me. I can't spend a day without him.

"You are thinking about Fred." Diego said.
"How do you know?"
"Hey,why I don't I take you out of school to lighten you up?" Diego asked.
"You know I've got classes to attend." I told him.
"If you were attending your classes,I wouldn't have found you here."
"Thanks for the concern Diego. I was really a douche bag to you."

I saw Diego laughing and his face lit up. He wiped the water from his eyes.

"You just reminded me of that series called Lucifer where Lucifer calls Detective Espinoza, Detective douche."
"Yeah I love that series. We can watch it sometime on Netflix. You can take me out if school."
"Sure. It would be my pleasure."

Diego took me to his car and we drove out of school. He finally took me to a coffee shop and in his chilvarious manner,he opened the car door for me and I stepped out of the car.

"Thanks once again." I said.
"No problem Diana. You can just call me your fire fighter as Jan di calls Jin hoo  in Boys Before Flowers."
"It looks like you have a liking to films. Anyway, let's get in. I need to drink coffee."

Diego and I entered the coffee shop and we took seats. Diego called for the waiter so that we can have our orders.

"I would love to have a cup of black coffee." Diego said.
"Just give me iced tea." I said.

The waiter nodded and ten minutes later,the waiter brought our orders. Diego and I started discussing.

"So do you have any family here?" I asked.
"No,I'm the only one. I have no family."
"I'm sorry. Even though my parents dead,I have siblings. Two brothers and one sister. I'm the last."
"I'm sorry about your parents." Diego said.
"No problem. Hey,you made me forget about Fred. Thanks for this."
"Anytime. I hate when you are not happy."

I smiled at Diego and I'm still regretting why I was bad to him. I really needed to make it up to him.

"That Lucifer,why don't we watch it some time?" I said.
"Sure. It would be my pleasure."
