Getting Stronger
The next few weeks we developed plans of attack. We kept up with training Rue and Harper. They were becoming stronger everyday. Just in case the enemy listened in our conversations, we came up with code names. We took up names of gemstones. I took up Sapphire.
I knew the day she would attack. But this time we were ready. We had weapons and better outfit(and armor). She wouldn't get the best of us. It was the afternoon before game time. I walked up to Dawn and Cora.
"Are you guys sure your ready for this?" I asked. They nodded and Dawn looked at my back. "Where did you get the sword and shield?" she asked. I looked the pair. The bronze shield with winged crest and the sliver sword with blue hilt. "They just appeared to me. I found it in the lake."
I knew bad things happened there, but something drew me back there. I looked at them, they were smiling. I knew what they were thinking, we could stop Onyx today.
