and feels crushed

not even a morsel for bread
or a touch of love

knowing that she is not enough
knowing that she will never be enough
and has never been enough
but now
she wakes up every day
and gazed at each flower
seeming to grow redder and fuller every day
and counting each petal
that falls to the floor
wondering,
what if one day, I woke up
