The rest of the school day was okay. Nothing new happened. I was at my locker and then I realized I had cross country. I let out a huge sigh but it was either go home or go to practice.

I grabbed my gym bag and filled my backpack with all the books I needed for homework. Before closing my locker I checked in the mirror am fixed my wavy hair.

"Hey" I heard a voice say.

I jumped and quickly turned around to see the squealing girl on my cross country team.

"Oh hey sorry, you scared me" I let out an unconvincing laugh.

"Good" she replied. What?

"What?" I hoped she was kidding me.

"Did I stutter?"

"I just-"

"Listen I'm not here to chat," she gave me a look "I want you to stay away from Jonah" She cut me off.

"What?" She had to be kidding, I had barely been talking to him.

"God, are you deaf or something?" She rolled her eyes, "Jonah was getting all into me again and then you show up with your fucking googly eyes"

"Sorry, I wasn't trying to, I've barely talked to him, honest."

"Just shut the fuck up and stay away" she walked away.

What the hell? What did she mean getting into her again? Did they have a past? And why did she think I was into him? Was I into him?

My subconscious was running wild with questions. I shook my head to try and get rid of all the questions. I shut my locker and headed to the bathroom.

I opened up the bathroom door to only find it completely empty.

Oh great. I thought to myself Stacey wasn't here and I was going to have that stupid psycho girl breathing down my neck.

I rushed to get on my clothes for practice. I made sure the long sleeves of my loose shirt were covering the painful memories on my arms. I took one glance in the mirror before racing to the girls lockerroom.

I knew I was running a little behind so I rapidly threw my bags into my gym locker and attached the lock. I always made sure to put the lock onto my gym locker because at my old school people would put things into my bag to get me in trouble. They also would take things from me too.

I ran to the cafeteria and told Ms. Mairlin I was here.

"Anna!" I heard Jonah call. Why does he call me that, my name is Annarose, I thought.

I closed my eyes, not wanted to talk to him right now. I turned around to meet his eyes.

"Are you okay, I mean from earlier?"

I looked around to try and find the girl who talked to me at my locker, and I saw her gazing at me with a look as if to say did you forget our little talk?

"Anna?"

"What?" Again with Anna

"Are you okay?"

"Listen I don't want to talk about this right now..." I said, taking my eyes hesitantly off the girl and looking back to meet Jonahs bloodshot eyes.

Jonah's eyes looked back to where I was just looking. Jonah looked back at me and his head fell back before rolling back around to look at me.

"Please don't tell me you can't talk to me just because Gia threatened you!" I guessed the girl, I mean Gia, does this often considering he knew right away.
