The plane was stretching clouds as it moved rapidly in the sky. Inside the private jet, a man and a woman, sitting in leather seats were facing each other. The man was in his late 50's, wearing a black suit, white shirt and a matching black tie, the typical government getup. He had some grey strands on his stylishly cut blond hair that was clean to the point of almost being gelled to perfection. The woman sitting across him on the other hand had a short black hair with the most notable feature on her face being the slit eyes, hinting at the ethnicity of an Asian descent. Her face was adorned with the faint sign of freckles, not easy to spot at first glance. She looked quiet young, around 17'ish. Her clothing was a lot more tactical compared to the man, and so opposite with her rebellious attitude. While the man was siting formally, she instead squirmed quite a lot in her own fancy seat, looking around and curiously touching buttons on her armrests. The man seemed unamused and rather bored as he cleared his throat to catch the girl's attention before speaking up.

"The mission-agent Lamb."

The sudden tone had caught the woman's attention while the man's eyes narrowed in discomfort. In response, the young woman adjusted her body to face the man. Letting out a nervous chuckle.

"Sorry, just never been to a fancy jet before. You were saying? "

He glanced at her for a moment, seeming unimpressed before carrying on with the briefing.

"As I was saying, this mission holds a significant importance to us. We lost track of some of our medical supplies in the laboratories few months ago." He started, fixing his tie in the process as if being almost regretful and relaying such information to her. "And approximately 4 weeks earlier, it showed up in Oregon, our sources pointed us to a small town called Arcadia Bay. "

"Hm." The young woman tilted her head to process the information, raising a curious eyebrow soon after. "You want me to retrieve it."

"Yes. As soon as possible. "

"Wasn't Fox on this case? What happened to him? " She cut him off.

"He failed." The man answered curtly, with mere changes in his tone.

"You guys didn't kill him or anything did you? I know he's an idiot but he's still too valuable of an asset to just be killed like that." The young woman leaned forward, hands cupped together as she asked with a mischievous voice.

The man seemed to be displeased after hearing those words. His brows buried even deeper and he gave the agent one angry stare.

"We're not supervillains. We take great measures to ensure our agents never get injured out in the field. "

"Yeah right, say that to my body. " The young woman snapped back with a wide smirk, as if she knew that was going to be his reply.

The man averted his eyes to look at the burnt marks and scars that were heavily visible on her two arms after she rolled up her uniform sleeves. After a quick glance at the girl's limbs, he moved back to meet the agent's eyes.

"You knew the risk when you signed the contract. Plus we paid you handsomely, didn't we? Anyway- ". He moved to pick up the tablet that was on the table next to his seat, extending the device to the agent in an expectant manner.

"Here's the information that Fox had managed to gather. In a quick summary, you need to get in the Vortex Club. According to our sources it's a place most of the wealthy young members of the town reside in. "

The agent made an O gesture with her mouth. "Sounds fancy. Anything I should worry about? "

Sweeping through the pages on the touch screen, the woman did not notice the judging stare she was getting from her superior for her childlike behaviour. He opened his mouth, intending to say before closing and opening them again.
