"ETHAN. CRAWFORD."

Oh shit.

"What the fuck is this?"

Andrew towered over me, cornering me to the lockers. His left hand pushing me against the locker and his right shoving thr papers in my face.

"I swear it-it, I didn't write the story, Andrea d-did I'm sorry." I could barely mutter out a single word.

He sighed.

"God damn it Andrea... Hey uh Ethan, sorry for being a bit of a douche there."

"It's fine..."

He seemed to be busy in his mind, not realizing he was still pushing my shoulder. He slowly let go.

"Hey Andy, you doin' alright?"

"You wanna go get something to eat? At Mel's Diner, like the old times."

"Y-yeah, I'll meet you there.'

"See you at 7."

7:06pm

I could see Andrew already in a booth. Had already ordered some food. I walked in at sat down. He had ordered a vanilla milkshake for him and me, chocolate.

"You still remembered my favourite."

He smiled. It was a good 3 minutes of full silence before i decided to speak.

'Hey Andy, can I ask you something?"

"Of course."

"We've known each other for almost 10 years, we were best friends. But it all ended when high school started, what happened?..."

He exhaled while rubbing his forehead.

"I really don't know... I think it was when I started wanting to be..."

"Be?"

"I'm fuckin' sorry Ethan."

"What is it. Andrew tell me."

"I wanted to be cool, so I thought that if I stopped hanging out with you, I would have a chance."

Both of us didn't speak for a good 5 minutes. But I had to break the silence.

"Then why did you bring me here."

"Because... I missed, us. Look I don't really know why I stopped talking to you but I don't want us to end like that."

We ate and talked more hopefully trying to regain the connection we used to have.

"Also i'm sorry for screaming and you earlier."

"It's okay, I know you've always been sensitive about relationship things. I'll try talking to Andrea."

"If you have some time now you wanna go hang at Pinewood Lake?"

Pinewood Lake, and old closed down body of water hidden the a forest near our town The last time I went there was almost 3 years ago. Me and Andrew used to go swimming there pretty much every day. It was always quite and we would stay there till the sun went down. He pulled out a car bob from his pocket and headlights of a truck flashed outside.

"Holy shit your dad still owns that old thing."

"Yeah he gave it to me a couple years back."

I excitedly got in. It smelled of some food from years ago but it didn't stink, the smell felt kind comforting.

"Still smells of the late night MacDonald's trips we used to take."

He was happy. So was I. This was just like old times and I felt at home. We soon arrived and walked to the lake.

"Let's take a dip!"

"Uh I dunno Andrew..."

"Come on... please?"

I was kinda shy to take of my clothes. I know it's only me and Andrew but I've gained a bit since he last saw me. And he's in the football team so its kinda feels degrading if you ask me. But I gave in. Soon the both of us were in our underwear standing on the rock above the water.

"Umm Andrew, what if it's cold. We'll get sick."

"Well, let's find out."

Just as he said that he jumped in pulling me along. The water just just right. We messed around for a while before we layed next to each other near the rocks staring up at the trees. The sun began to set. The golden rays of lighted peaked through the trees, making the water glisten.

"Andy, I gotta go home soon or my mom will kill me."

"Yeah okay, I'll send you."

We began to get dressed and drove off. We reach the front of my house.

"Hey Andrew, today was great, thanks."

"See ya tomorrow, bye."
