Jo and Sherlock are at St. Bart's in the lab, looking at an X-ray on a computer screen that was showing the interior parts of Irene's phone, while Molly stood nearby them. Jo and Sherlock lean closer to the screen and then have looks of exasperation on their faces. Molly looks over, asking,
"Is that a phone?" Jo bit back a sarcastic comment and Sherlock responded,
"It's a camera phone."
"And you're X-raying it?"
"We are."
"Whose phone is it?"
"A woman's"
"Is it..um...someone's girlfriend's phone?"
"You think she's my girlfriend because I'm X-raying her possessions?"
"You think I'm lesbian?" Molly laughs nervously."Well, we all do silly things and I don't know. Maybe." Jo shrugged.
"I guess I'd identify as a biromantic demisexual." Molly looked at her confused and Sherlock was slightly surprised, but didn't have a problem with it. He lifts his head, remembering what Molly said and he looks round to her.
"Yes. They do, don't they? Very silly." Jo and Molly look at him slightly confused as he gets up to his feet and takes the phone out of the X-ray machine, holding it up
"She sent this to my address, and she loves to play games." Jo realizes what he's getting at but Molly still looks at him confused.
"She does?" Sherlock pulls up the "I AM ---- LOCKED screen and types '221B' into the phone. The phone beeps and a message comes up reading:
WRONG PASSCODE. 2 ATTEMPTS REMAINING
He looks exasperated and sits down again and Jo sighs.

Months later at the flat Sherlock and Jo reach the top but Jo stops abruptly and Sherlock bumps into her back. She sniffs deeply.
"Smell that." He does the same and then he looks into the kitchen and Jo walks to the window, noticing that it had been opened. They both look at each other and then start walking slowly toward his bedroom and they hear the front door closing and John coming up the stairs. Sherlock gently pushes Jo behind him and pushes the door open. He walks into the bedroom and Jo follows him in and they stand there, looking down at Irene who is on the bed. John was in the kitchen and noticed them standing there.
"What's wrong?" Sherlock looked down at Jo but she just looked over Irene, checking if she might be hurt and he looked at her as he told John,
"We have a client."
"What, in your bedroom." John walks over to them and his jaw drops when he sees the bed.
"Ohhh."

Irene had taken a shower, her hair loose and damp and she's is wearing one of Sherlock's dressing gowns while sitting in his chair in the living room. Jo and the boys are sitting at the dining table looking at her. Sherlock speaks first,
"So who's after you?"
"People who want to kill me."
"Who's that?"
"Killers." Jo rolled her eyes.
"Ya don't say, I thought it might be leprechauns." John and Irene gave her a curious glance and Sherlock just kept looking at Irene. John tried to make eye contact with Jo but she was doing the same a Sherlock so John turned back to Irene saying,
"It would help if you were a tiny bit more specific."
"So you faked your own death in order to get ahead of them."
"It worked for a while."
"Except you let John know that you were alive, and therefore me."
"I knew you'd keep my secret."
"I told Jo."
"You tell her everything; well, almost everything." Sherlock stiffened a bit and Jo looked between them curious but she didn't push it. "Where's my camera phone?" John scoffs lightly.
"It's not here. We're not stupid."
"Then what have you done with it? If they've guessed you've got it, they'll be watching you." Sherlock looked at her unfazed,
"If they've been watching me, they'll know that I took a safety deposit box at a bank on the Strand a few months ago."
"I need it." John looks over at Sherlock and Jo.
"Well, we can't just go and get it, can we? Molly Hooper. She could collect it, take it to Bart's; then one of your homeless network could bring it here, leave it in the café, and one of the boys downstairs could bring it up the back." Sherlock smiles at him and Jo chuckles a bit, knowing it was in Sherlock's jacket pocket.
"Very good, John. Excellent plan, with intelligent precautions."
"Thank you." He picks up his phone. "So, why don't ... Oh, for ..." Jo reaches over, getting close to Sherlock and pulling the phone out of his jacket pocket slowly, prolonging her closeness with him. Sherlock looked at her slightly confused but when he saw Irene stiffening a bit and looking away, he smirked as he understood she was trying to make her jealous. She backs away, but not before placeing a kiss to both coners on his lips, making his smile, and walks up to Irene holding up the phone as she stands from the couch. She tosses the phone back and forth in her hands and throws it in the air and catching it she looks at Irene.
"So what do you keep on here – in general, I mean?"
"Pictures, information, anything I might find useful." John joins in saying,
"What, for blackmail?" Jo rolls her eyes turning to Sherlock and mouthing in sync with Irene, who had turned and was looking at Sherlock.
'For protection'
"For protection. I make my way in the world; I misbehave. I like to know people will be on my side exactly when I need them to be." Sherlock chuckles quietly getting a look from Irene and John, but he asks,"So how do you acquire this information?"
"I told you – I misbehave."
"But you've acquired something that's more danger than protection. Do you know what it is?"
"Yes, but I don't understand it." Jo furrowed her eyebrows but then she said,
"We assumed. Show us." Irene holds out her hand for the phone, but Jo holds it up out of her reach.
"The pass code please." Irene continues to hold her hand out, and Jo sighs and sits forward to hands her the phone. Activating it and holding it so she can't see the screen or the keypad, Irene types in four characters. The phone beeps.
"It's not working." Jo takes it and hands it to Sherlock.
"No, because it's a duplicate that I had made, into which you've just entered the numbers one-oh-five-eight." He walks over to Irene and retrieves the real camera phone from under the cushion.
"I assumed you'd choose something more specific than that but, um, thanks anyway." He pulls up the "I AM ---- LOCKED" screen and types '1058' into the phone. He looks at her smugly but then the phone beeps and a message comes up reading
