"Okay, I'm thinking we get a few more people to help us out here," Lance said, sitting next to Keith on the yard. He huddled closer, the cold seeping through the thin prison jumpers. "For example, Pidge and Matt, definitely. And maybe Slav. Not because I like him or anything, actually that man drives me absolutely insane. But he is pretty smart so maybe he can help us?"

"Woah, woah," Keith said. "Wait a second. You want to take more people?"

"Well yeah," Lance shrugged. "Not to mention if we get caught, it's better to have more targets. Makes it more likely for us to get away."

"Do I want to know how you know that?" Keith asked.

"Sure," Lance boasted. "I always make sure to have at least four exact copies of me when I go stealing. That way when the police shows up, they don't know who's the real Blue."

"Blue?" Keith asked.

Lance blushed. "T-That's what they called me, you know, back in-back at home."

Keith looked at Lance for a second, his eyes narrowed at Lance's hidden face. "What was Cuba like?"

"Wha-," Lance floundered. "I don't know! I've never lived there! Cuba? Where's that? Is that in California?"

Keith scowled. "Lance. If you want me to trust you, you have to tell me stuff about you."

"What do you want to know?" Lance asked. "I'm handsome, a lady and man killer. I like to steal stuff. Always have. I love the adrenaline when you make a good steal. It's exhilarating. Let's see..I'm a lefty. I went through an emo phase, but if you tell anyone that I'll deny it. Um...I have a tattoo of Ursa Major on my back....and that's pretty much it."

"Lance, I meant about your past--wait why Ursa Major?" Keith asked. Lance visibly flinched and drew in. He held his knees and looked away for a second.

"I like the constellation." was all he said.

"Lance..." Keith said slowly. "Would it help if I told you about myself?"

Lance laughed. "Seriously?" he asked. "You want to know about me so bad you're willing to tell me about your past? Am I really that interesting?"

"I just can't figure you out." Keith said, a frown etched into his face.

"And you've been trying?" Lance asked. "What have you deduced about me, Oh wonderful Sherlock Holmes?"

"You're a narcissist." Keith said.

"Way to be blunt."

"But--" Keith interjected. "I think it's a defense mechanism. You act like an asshole when people get too close to you so you try and shut them out by driving them away." well, that hit a little too close to home. "I also think that in another life, there's no way you'd be a criminal. I think you went through something, and that's why you do what you do."

"Benny! Benny! Oh my god! Mama! Mama, he's not waking up! Call for help! Someone please help me!"

Lance scowled. "Do I have to have a tragic backstory to be a villain? What if I just did it because I wanted to?"

"Did you do it just because you wanted to?" Keith asked. He turned Lance's face to meet his and his eyes bore into Lance's. Lance flushed, his face incredibly close to Keith's. At this angle it was hard not to notice how kissable his lips were.

"Y-yes," Lance gulped. Keith smirked and pressed his face closer, enjoying how red Lance turned.

"Really?" Keith purred.

"Yep. Uh-huh, totally did," Lance babbled, staring at Keith's lips. Would he get mad if he kissed him right now? I mean, the dude is giving Lance some pretty strong signals here.

"Right," Keith said. He then leaned in closer and kissed Lance.

Lance exe. has stopped working.

Keith's lips were on his. He didn't really think about Keith like this. It was a little sudden, wasn't it? Hell, he'd only known Keith for less than a week, yet here he was lip to lip with the man. Although, Lance totally didn't mind it... Keith was a fantastic kisser.

Keith pulled away after a second to look at Lance's flushed face. "So..."

"So?" Lance asked, his brain still mushed from the kiss. "So what?"

"I kissed you."

"I am fully aware of that," Lance said. "Why did you kiss me?"

"Because I'm into you."

"Well, I'm into you too."

"Okay," Keith sighed. "Now what?"

"I don't know!" Lance exclaimed. "This has never happened to me before! Let's just focus on the escape and figure it out from there?"

Keith scowled but nodded. He didn't really like people often, but somehow  Lance had managed to steal past the walls he'd carefully built. But now Lance wanted to deny what had just happened? As long as they addressed it at some point, that's all that Keith really cared about. After all it was really sudden.

"Yeah, sure," Keith said finally. He scooted even closer to Lance and put his arm around him. Lance leaned into his touch. "So... you gonna tell me about your past?"

Lance sighed. "I don't really like talking about it."

"Okay." Keith said. "I won't push you."

Lance laughed. "What happened to the feisty Keith I once knew?" he asked jokingly. "You were so rude to me before. 'Oh Poser get the fuck away from me'. Now you're all nice. Total tsundere."

"I thought tsundere's were bottoms." Keith said, looking into Lance's blue eyes and smirking. "And I'm a top."

Lance fought back the wave of dirty images that popped into his head. "Er... right. Okay well I'll put a pin in that very helpful information for later and focus on the task at hand."

"Which is?"

"Who else we're taking with us." Lance said. Keith scoffed. "No seriously. My plan doesn't depend on having a tech genius, but that definitely won't hurt. It doesn't have to be Slav...maybe just Pidge. And Matt."

"Not Pidge or Matt." Keith said harshly.

"What's your problem with Pidge and Matt?" Lance asked.

"Because I don't trust them," Keith answered. "Not to mention they're assholes."

"Yes they're assholes, I can vouch for that," Lance said. "However they're brilliant assholes and I'll take that over not assholes any day."

"Well I wouldn't." Keith said simply, crossing his arms on an angry huff.

"C'mon please?" Lance asked, jutting out his lower lip in a pout. Keith took one look at Lance's puppy eyes and broke.

"Fine, just," Keith huffed. "I don't wanna talk to them."

"Yes!" Lance said happily, pumping his fist. "Works every time!"

Keith laughed and shook his head. So what, he had to get over a long grudge on the Holt's siblings. If it meant getting out of this hell hole it was worth it. Keith looked over to where Lance was staring at the sky, his ocean eyes filled with wonder.

He might be worth it too...
