I finally forced myself out of Ryan's arms.
"You can hug me for as long as you want Ashley. I don't mind." said Ryan.
I laughed and gave him a qick hug.
"It's nice to finally quit the tough act in front of someone." I said.
"What do you mean?" Ryan asked me.
"I wasn't always the tough girl who dated the popular guy and wore designer clothes. I use to be the girl who was always sweet and nice and wore jeans and a t-shirt. I use to not care about popularity. The old me would have never dated someone she didn't love. She would have never been friends with a girl whose a total flirt and who can't be trusted. She would have been friends with people because they shared the same intrest as her not because of their popularity. The old me wrote stories, songs, and poems, and was always smiling a geniune smile. She didn't care how many friends she could get on Facebook or Twitter. She didn't look at friendship or popularity as a contest that she had to win. She didn't care about all this stupid stuff. She was a kid at heart and a lot more fun to be around than Aqua ever was." I said.
Ryan walked over and hugged me.
I laughed.
"I guess my new addiction will be hugs." I said and hugged him back.
"I have a better idea for your new addiction." said Ryan.
I pulled away.
"Oh yeah? What's that?" I asked.
"God. Why don't you come to church with me Sunday." said Ryan.
I smiled and nodded.
"Sure. Why not?" I said.
"Let's go to Walmart." said Ryan.
"Ummm okaaay." I said.
Ryan grabbed my hand and pulled me downstairs and out the door.
