Before her mother could scold her she apologised for being late and worrying her. At the table for dinner she told them about her evening and about this friend of hers while she too listened to how they had spent their evening.

They talked for quite sometime until the old lady went to bed. Wishing each other a great night they retired in their beds only that she being bed she didn't sleep soon picked her phone.

It had been more than an hour since their departure she expected a message to know if he arrived and their was non yet.
She sent a WhatsApp and it took forever to be delivered but even when delivered he didn't reply and she worried if he was ok.

She dialed his number and it was going through but no answer. She wondered what could be wrong dialing again no answer. If she had the means maybe she would have sought him out but she didn't know where to even start. Saying a prayer for his safety she put her head down.

45minutes later into her sleep the phone woke her up, looking at the screen it was him sitting up she received it. It didn't go unnoticed for him that he woke her up as her voice was soft and sleepy. She inquired if he was on and had reached safely and he gave her positive responses.

He liked her concern for him when she expressed how worried she had been when her WhatsApp messages were delivered but not replied to and he didn't pick up. She was glad he was ok.

He apologised for his carelessness as he forgot to inform her he had reached well. He wished her a goodnight promising to call the following day.
"Thank you, have a good night" she whispered back and switched off to continue with sleep.

Her memories filled his mind and he couldn't help but fall in love with her.

The few weeks he had spent with her she got to know what kind of person she was and he wanted nothing less.
Days went by and he was dropping her off home after work.

She invited him in one day after dropping her & he was welcomed by her maa.
Priya (her maa) loved him & made him feel comfortable while she went to get something for him to drink.
They instantly connected with her mother.

His parents had been always busy making more money so he never did have a friend in his mother. Yet here for the few minutes he came in he felt like he belonged.

Pragya's maa gave him attention and she was interested to know him which he found rare. The bond mother and daughter shared was unique too and he wanted that too.
At the end of the visit she invited him to visit often. She had liked the care free nature person he was plus he was the first male friend her daughter introduced her too let alone bring home.

Holiday was over and she had to go back to university. She hoped he would visit her as she had become used to him and she didn't want to be away from him.
He was missing her even before she left and he knew the only way to see her would be visiting and since university had no curfew so he promised himself he would visit her whenever he could.

School started they used to meet up during weekends until she got very busy the communication reduced. He was missing her so much but class, course works, tests were keeping her very busy. Not that I didn't miss him but exams were round the corner and i wanted to excel. When I could I called him and we spoke only of he was available too. School ended successfully and I went back home.

After school before graduation I received an appointment  letter to join The Mehra Foundation as an employee which I accepted. I  started working a month after my final exams before official graduation. Everything was same as before only that now I was staff and I was supposed to be more serious than before.

All this while i had not been in touch with Abhishek for close to 3 months. Not sure what had happened as every time I to communicate he either replied late or not at all. It seemed all this was a one sided friendship and I then decided to abandon it though the few times he reached out I replied like nothing had happened.
