4am
"Mommy! Daddy!" I groaned against the pillow while the kids jumped on Lola and I at an inhumane hour of the morning.
"Lola, get your children." I muffled sleepily while nudging her.
"Why are they just my children? You made them too.." She mumbled while snuggling under me and pulling the cover over her head.
"Because you carried them for nine months and now that they're free from your womb chamber, they won't be still."
"You're the one who put them in there!" I gasped and migrated under the covers while staring at her.
"You liar." She laughed and pushed my face back.
"Shhh. Now control your kids. I'm exhausted."
4:25am
I finished wrapping up the kids' "sprained" limbs and laid back down. Apparently, kicking them all off the bed wasn't the correct way to control them, and because of that they all complained to Lola and claimed I broke their bodies. >_>
...snitches
6:50am
I woke up to the smell of food and rolled out of bed. Some of the kids were already sitting at the table waiting to eat, by the time I made my way in the kitchen.
Ivory was practicing her gymnastics (even though her leg was "sprained.")
Shawn was throwing a foam football at the wall (even though his arm was "sprained.")
Noah and Isaac were running around in their pull ups (even though they claimed their whole body was "sprained.")
-.-)
8am
Everybody had eaten breakfast and we all decided to go to the park. Lola pushed the babies in the swing while I chased after the boys and the girls just acted like perfect children. After my shift was done, I tagged Lola and we switched off.
9:10am
Apparently, a storm was on its way and none of us knew. Therefore, everyone got soaked except for the babies whom had an umbrella over their stroller. The kids were sitting on towels and half of them had fallen asleep while watching Clifford the Big Red Dog on the small pull-out TVs.
I played a soft jazz while driving slowly on the interstate. After all of the traffic, we finally made it home and I made multiple trips, in and out of the house, to get the kids inside. Once inside, the babies were laid on their blankets and Lola and I chased down the munchkins. We bathed them and while I dried off Paris, she asked,
"Daddy, why is the sky leaking?" I smiled and helped her in some comfortable clothes.
"Because God is crying. He's seen you be so good that he became overly happy and cried." She gleamed until Tron added in her two cents.
"Really? Mommy said that when a cloud becomes compacted and can no longer hold water molecules-" I threw a pillow at her and frowned.
"Shh! God's crying!!"
"OW!! Daddy you sprained my face!!"
10am
Everybody gathered in the family room to watch a movie, and since it was Chris's turn to choose we ended up watching The Lion King. It was a nice choice, but I'm more of a Jungle Book guy. *Kanye shrug*
10:30am
30 minutes in to the movie and we're having a family sing along. It's fun, but while watching this, I wondered would it be good parenting if I dressed Isaac up as a lion cub and threw him at Lisa Lopez. :D....Nahh
I sighed once I heard the first cry of a baby and got up since Lola was dozing off. Poor thing. She'll pay later. I walked in the babies' room and nearly died.
"It smells like Madonna's last album in here." I opened the two windows and got to work. I changed the newborns' diapers first and then progressed to changing Lisa and Denise. Once complete, I mentally patted myself on the back while lighting scented candles.
12pm
Everyone is taking a nap except for me, so I decided to make a dinner plan while packing lunches for the kids. The nanny arrived to take care of the newborns, so when Lola woke up she wouldn't be so overwhelmed.
I walked around while getting everyone's outfits out and...
I'm happy to say that today was fairly nice and calm.
