Snow's POV.
"Explain. Now." Vivian was glaring holes into me.
"We're inamors." I answered simply.
"What? Are you fucking with me Leslie?" Vivian looked at me,"Inamors are just a-"
I pulled out the book Alyssa had given me, squeezing Alexis' hand reassuringly.
"Page 72."
"Eye colour..." The four of them stared at Alexis' eyes, then at mine.
"..."
"Page 512."
"An inamorato wilt leaveth a marketh upon his lov'r's neck as a signeth of fidelity and eternally did bind of two souls during the sacr'd act between...What the hell is this? I can barely understa-Oh. There's a translated version below."
"A mark on his lover's neck..."
I nudged Alexis' shoulder and she pulled down her sweatshirt a little, revealing a marking of a white dove on her neck-Contrasting the black markings the gods had left.
"...Holy shit."
"I regret not bringing fireworks-OH MY GOD YOU TWO ARE SOULMATES!" Janet was screeching like a banshee,"I NEED TO INFORM THE WORL-"
"NO!" I stood up and put my hands together.
"Please. Can you keep this private. It's fine if Ashe and Nathaniel know but don't tell the press. Al wants to wait till we've dealt with this war thing first before anything and the temple is definitely going to make our lives difficult."
Alexis stood up and bowed almost 90 degrees.
"Y-your majesty!" Horivil nearly shouted-The most surprised I'd seen him react to something.
"Please keep this a secret for now. I-I don't want to make this public yet..."
"Hey hey hey-Please don't bow your majesty, it's really uncomfortable for us..." Vivian said.
"I'll stop once you say yes."
"Okay fine fine! I'll definitely keep it a secret...Though I'll hate every moment of it..."
"Thank you."
"Is her majesty just the cutest little thing?" Janet gushed to Eindart.
"Now if only you were that sincere, woman." Eindart snorted.
"HAAAAA? WHAT DID YOU JUST-" They started bickering like again-As usual.
"You have my word that none of this will leave my mouth, your majesty. But you-" Horivil glared at me,"To be unable to control yourself? Shameful, I ought to punish you."
"H-he had no control over himself Horivil! I-I don't blame him!"
"Hmph...Since her majesty doesn't want me to punish you...I'll let you off this time."
I breathed a sigh of relief internally-Horivil was notorious for his strict behaviour and training.
His army was the most disciplined out of all of ours with his strict regime and the most powerful.
"So when's the marriage?"
"Al wants to focus on this war first so I'll marry her on the day this war ends." I replied casually.
