Chapter IX

Sunday went by faster than you have expected and now, it was time for Monday, meaning you need to go to school which you could possibly encounter Rias-senpai, although it's only a small chance since she's on the higher level and your senior. You checked in on Issei yesterday evening and you casually asked how his date went and looks like Rias-senpai altered his memory and he didn't remember anything about what happened with Yuuma even with her transforming into a fallen angel and almost killed him if it wasn't for you.

You played the part well and didn't come off as suspicious and decided to keep the information of what happened to yourself. There were times wherein the memory of what happened the morning after which was the situation with naked Rias-senpai, came to your mind and played like a broken video that keeps on repeating itself. It brought you stress but at the same time, you grinned like a fool whenever that scene played in your mind and even at times, your mother kept seeing you like that and threw a questioning look to which you only directed a smile to her. Good thing, she didn't pry on what caused you to behave in such manner and you were grateful for that.

You were now currently walking on your way to school. The sun was up bright on the sky, casting its sun rays all over the place and you were holding an umbrella with your left hand to provide shade so that you won't be harmed too much by its glaring rays and you were holding your bag with your right hand. You felt your phone buzzed inside your pocket and you muttered a curse since you couldn't hold your phone considering you were holding two things already. You decided to take shade at a near bus station and checked your phone to which you found Issei's message.

'I'm on my way to school now,'

You glanced up for a bit and saw Kaneshiro Hana walking by alone on the other side of the street and so you immediately pocketed your phone and went to catch up by her side. She wasn't holding any umbrella and so you came up with the decision to share your umbrella with her. She seemed taken aback a bit with your arrival by her side, seen by her widened green eyes. A faint blush appeared on her face for a brief moment before she focused back her attention on the road and thus it made you think that faint blush was possibly only your imagination.

"Morning," you greeted her casually.

"Good morning," she replied a bit shy.

The conversation ended then and there with your simple greeting with each other. The entire walk to the school was conducted in silence, neither the two of you spoke and started a conversation and maybe it was because it was a comfortable silence and not an awkward one and so you both decided to stay quiet.

You yawned up quite a bit loud and she appeared to notice this by stealing a glance in your direction before commenting on your action.

"You stayed up late last night?" she slowly asked, the shyness still was evident in her tone.

You shook your head as a response, you simply were sleepy for a bit and actually slept fine yesterday. You just attribute this yawning to your situation later being bored with school and all. The two of you were able to see the tall gates of Kuoh Academy in the distance with its usual morning scene wherein students pour in the school, attending their classes and activities. You and Hana were still walking side by side in comfortable silence and people as you already expected looked over and started whispering, it was highly likely that they were talking about you and her.

Upon arriving at the gates, she stopped walking and turned to face you. A shy and gentle demeanor coating her entire being as a smile made its way to her face. She looked up from the ground and stared right into your eyes. You felt a bit conscious with her beautiful green eyes, staring back at your (E/C) ones and it unknowingly made you gulp slightly.
