Chapter 19

Sodapop's POV

I woke this morning happier then the day I dropped out of high school.Today is the day I bring Tayla to an open house.I really want to live with Tayla.

“Im ready"she said and we got in the truck.Two left and one right turn later,we arrived to the house.

“Soda,its beautiful!"she gasped.“Really,it really is.I can't wait to see inside!"

We stepped out of the car and walked up the steps,my arm around her shoulder.The lady who was selling the house came out using her cane to walk.

“Hello,Ms.I'm Sodapop and this is Tayla.We are interested in buying the house."I said and shook her hand.She smiled.

“Yes,come in,come come come.The house is lovely,very god co edition.Everything works and there is heat.Very spacious,also."

“So do you like it?"I asked Tayla.She smiled very wife as tears glistened in her eyes.She nodded slowly.

“Well take it,mam.Here ya go"I said and handed her the money I owed.This is our home now.I smiled.

I turned to Tayla and her smile faded.Mine faded too.She quickly clutched her stomach and groaned.

“Thats it!You've been groaning about your stomach all week.I'm taking you to the hospital,Tayla."I felt really bad she was in pain.

“Thank you so much mam.When can we start moving in?Tomorrow?"

“Yes,see you tomorrow!"she called and I waved.To the hospital we go.

Tayla's POV

I couldn't believe this house is all ours.Sodapop and I are going to live together.

Suddenly,a excruciating pain goes through my stomach.My hand flings up clutching the pain and my smile fades.

Soda started ranting and raving about how he's sick of all the pain and stuff.

He's taking me to the hospital!Oh god,oh god!I hate hospitals,i don't want to go back to another one.Maybe I could get out of this?Nah,he seems very determined to get me to the hospital,great.

I leaned back into my seat and sighed.I am totally not going to enjoy this one bit.I want to go home.My new home.

“Were here.Come on"he said and got out of the car.I am not prepared for this,I don't want to do this.

“Hi,I need to see Dr.Gonzalez, please."I told the lady sitting at the desk.She seemed depressed,and maybe in her 40's.Sucks for her.

“Okay,fill this out and he will be right with you in about 5 minuted.Have a seta in the waiting room"she replied and went into the back of the office.I took a seat and filled out the form.

“This questions are sick!"I yelled making everyone look at me.God,take a picture!

“Tayla,please don't be difficult right now.fill out the form and wait for the doctor."Soda commanded and I did as told.

“Okay Tayla,we know why you have been having stomach pains.Is that your boyfriend?"Dr.Gonzalez said.

“Yes.What's wrong with me?"

“Uh,nothings wrong with you.Your pregnant.Congratulations!I will go make another appointment for you"he said and walked out if the room.

“Oh boy"

“What?"

“Your asking me what?I'm pregnant!That's madness!Oh boy,oh boy,oh boy!"I hollered at him and put my head in my hands.

After the doctor gave me my next appointment we went back to the Curtis house to spill the beans.

“Were back!"Soda yelled.Everyone looked at us and came into the living room.

“Uh,I have news for everybody."I said.

“Well,were listening"Steve said.He is such a wise ass,gosh.

“I-I'm.....uh....I'm pregnant!"I shouted and ran into the bathroom,locking the door.

After about 10 minutes if debating whether or not they hate me,I walked back out.

“Congratulations Tayla!"Darry yelled and gave me a hug.Okay,so I was right.They still love me.

“Since its June,the baby should be born around March right?Soda,the baby could be born on your birthday!"I shouted and gave him a hug.

“That would be awesome!"

“I can't wait till this little sucker is out!Let's go to bed Soda.Come on"I said and I walked into Sodas room.

I'm gonna be a mommy.
