It was 6:00 AM, Arina opened her eyes to the sight of her room's ceiling. She got up and headed straight to the bathroom to bathe. Once she was done, she grabbed a towel to dry herself.
She got dressed in her new school uniform. She glanced at her self in the mirror. "It looks okay I guess." She said to herself. She made her way downstairs and grabbed a sandwich. "Here's your lunch." Arina's mom said, handing her a lunchbox. "Thanks mom." She opened her bag and placed it inside.
"Have a good first day at senior high!" Her mom cried. "I will, Mom." She replied. Arina then grabbed all her things and walked to her school, which was about a 5-minute walk away. She made her way to the front gate of the school. "Senior High, here I come.." She said to herself. She got to her classroom and sat on the chair near the window. She placed her chin on her hand and looked out the window until someone asked her a question.
"Hey, is this seat taken?" someone asked, pointing to the seat next to her. "I don't think so." She replied. "Ok then." he said to her. He sat down and looked at the front. She went back to minding her own business and looked outside. "My name is Reno by the way.." The boy said facing her direction. "My name's Arina. Nice to meet ya, I guess." She replied, looking at him but still having her body face the other way. "Nice to meet you too." Reno replied, smiling.
Their homeroom teacher arrived at their classroom a few moments later. She was a pretty woman who had a very bright smile. "Good Morning Class! My name is Ms. Linara. I am your homeroom teacher." The teacher then assigned a project for them to do. "To get to know each other, we will be doing a project by pair. You will make a chart about your traits and personalities and see what you both have in common. Now, go on and pick your partners!"
Everyone got up from their chair and started to pair up. Arina just looked around the class looking around. "Who should be my partner?" She thought to herself. "Hey Arina, wanna pair up?" Reno asked. Arina was a bit surprised and thought about it. "Ok, sure." She replied. Reno smiled like a little kid. "Ok, does everyone have a pair?" Ms. Linara asked. "Yes, miss." The class replied. "Ok, you will do the project on an illustration board and it will be presented on Friday."
At lunch time..
Arina went to the cafeteria and sat alone, all by herself. she opened her lunchbox and started eating.
"Hey, Arina! Wanna sit together?"
