Skies

Dark skies
Fall on tired eyes

Slumped over in a chair
Pale face covered by hair

Crimson scars buried deep
She stares as she begins to weep

Swears they were caused by thorns
Really from the pain she has borne
~~~
Crimson skies in the fall
There she is, standing tall
Friends surround her everywhere
Her sweet laugh fills the air
Little do they happen to know
Her giggles and grins are all for show
So they stay with her unaware
That she doesn't find herself so fair
~~~
Sunny skies are now for show
Lots of rain and gardens grow

Spring is here and everywhere,
People are jumping in the air

Except for one, who could it be
Why that dear girl that you always see

She looks down at her feet
And tears drop as she begins to weep
~~~
Bright blue skies with sunshine all day
Why yes you're right, it's summer, Hooray!
Houses are empty with families away
Having fun on their summer vay-cay
There's that girl, yes once again
All alone, without a friend
Long sleeve shirt, blue skinny jeans
"Just another angsty teen"
~~~
Snowy landscapes and leafless trees
No more mosquitoes, no more bees

Many scents of cinnamon
"Please just come join us, hun"

A burning candle, a locked door
"You're nothing but a filthy whore"

She shuts her eyes and continues to cry
"Really? Not even a goodbye?"
~~~
"Useless"
"Garbage"
"Good for nothing"
"Worthless"
"Ugly"
"You're just bluffing"
~~~
An ear piercing scream
Only silence, no more dreams

Pale body, tangled hair
Wide eyes continue to stare

A broken soul, a broken heart,
End was soon, sudden was the start
