Chapter 8: People Change

Kagura's Point of View

It was a very lovely night when me and Hayabusa went out on a dinner, eating our favorite food and talking about our lives... Until two people ruined it, or three if you include the waiter, I guess. When Hanabi came into our lives, she began to ruin our relationship. I can't handle my kindness anymore. I think something deep inside of my heart wants to get out, shouting for my name, filling my mind. It's jealousy.

|10:00 PM|

It's two hours before midnight as me and Haya both sat on a bench at the park. The park is quiet at night though few people are still hanging out here. I stared at Haya and he looks tensed.

"Haya? What's wrong? Don't worry about me, I can endure this mess all over my dress"

"Kagura, nothing's wrong. Just thinking about myself, I guess"

"You know, sweetie, you can tell me your problems anytime and we will both solve your proble-"

He cut me out when he got enraged on me.

"No! Kagura! You don't even know what I'm going through, you can't relate! People around us says that we are a perfect couple just because I'm treating you right and you're very sweet to me. But in reality, we don't even feel a connection with each other, not even a little bit"

"B-but I can relate! I'm not just a sweet kid who is not aware in her surroundings!"

My tears are starting to fall down as soon as I continued talking to him. What is happening?! Why did Haya changed?! He shut up, and didn't replied. I became angry.

"Hey! I'm talking to you! Why are you quiet?", I shouted at him.

Suddenly, he stood up from where he is sitting and began to walk away from me. What is wrong with this guy?!

"Hey! Where are you going?! You're such a coward!", I shouted very loudly which caught attention to some people.

He left me.

He left me hanging. I've began to cry harder while my hands are wiping the tears on my cheeks. Did everything Hanabi's friend said was true? If so, then I'm his second victim. I started to conclude. If it wasn't for Hanabi, then we wouldn't be like this. This is all Hanabi's fault.

I'm feeling something. Something that will make myself change. Something that will make everyone forget that I was sweet and kind. But I resisted it, because I'm not brave. Oh, Haya, how could I make it up to you? I need help.

So, I decided to go to my brother, Kazuke. I've never visited him for a long time. I've also never heard any news about him. And so, I took a taxi and went to the town where Kazuke was living.

|11:30 PM|

It's past my bedtime, and I'm getting sleepy, additionally, the air conditioner inside the taxi makes me feel relaxed and comfortable. My eyes are slowly closingly, but fortunately, I was awakened by the driver. We have finally arrived to my brother's home.

"I'm sorry, sir. I don't have enough money in my wallet. But I will ask my brother inside to pay you, okay?", I promised as I quickly run to the house.

Before you enter the house, you have to walk by a mysterious room. I called it mysterious because the windows and doors are closed, and it seems that the room looks old from outside, at the same time, there is a sign written infront of the door saying "Do not enter if you don't want to risk your life". Hmmm, what could be inside the room? I'll be right back, room. I'll meet my brother first.
