Is the planet a species mortuary
white hippos and us alike
can ne'r a naked mole rat
nor coach-roach best survive?
Something big goes 'pop'
neath the city's glittery scene,
so it only makes sense
it should be somewhat unclean.
Turrets zoom and blaze,
bombing this affirmed;
species have emissions
nay and blightly spurned.
At the golf course it is forbidden
to say 'mini-stroke' out on the green,
or at the hole where tongues that wag are seen,
but on the fairway
perfectly hidden
trade secrets
burn the offending grass
down to the roots.
