"D!" Tobi announced as the three walked down the road. "Animal! Dog!"

"Vegetable, Daikon."

"What's that?" The masked man tilted his head.

"It's another name for Chinese radish," the red-haired stated.

"Oh. Well, an object in D..."

"DEIDARA!" the two screeched, making the blond turn to look at them at last, an irk mark on his forehead.

"He's not really an object, just a tool," Ushio shrugged, making Deidara grab a pebble and throw at her. She ducked, giving the teenager a flat look. "Rude."

"You! Are insufferable as it is, un." Deidara looked at the masked man that started crying at those words. "And you!" he pointed at the small girl next to the weeping man, "you are making it ten times worse!"

Ushio shrugged, "too bad you have to put up with it."

"I DON'T! I WILL KILL YOU!"

"You can't!" Ushio replied happily.

"Leader never said I can't," Deidara stated with an evil glint in his eyes. He moved closer to Ushio, when Tobi threw himself on him, making him stumble down the hill as the two of them rolled away.

"SENPAI! YOU BROKE MY HEART!"

"AH! TOBI! DEIDARA!" Ushio called out, looking at the duo rolling down. Deidara was screaming at Tobi to let him go, and Tobi was still crying. "Honestly, I am so confused."

Thirty-one hours.

It took Ushio thirty-one hours to reach Ame, including the trip to the Sand, and once there, the ginger leader found her easily, thanks to his rain.

Pein, as Ushio soon learned, was a very talented Shinobi, with one very helpful technique; Rain Tiger at Will. His chakra enchanted rain was able to detect easily anyone moving within Ame.

After a week of helping at the small school in the secretive village, Konan requested her presence at Pein's office. They were regarded as a God and an Angel, and Ushio wondered if the duo was truly as evil as she previously believed them to be.

Maybe their way was wrong, and would bring destruction, but didn't the means justify the end?

"Find Deidara and Tobi. Travel for a short while with them, help them find the Sanbi. Once they do, contact us. You will start bounty hunting until further notice."

And thus, a week later, she was watching a pair of criminals rolling down the hill.

"GET OFF OF ME YOU DAMN MASKED ASSHOLE!" Tobi stepped off, and Ushio peered down, watching as Deidara caught him in a headlock. "CHOKE TO DEATH YOU FUCKING--!"

"DEIDARA! WE NEED TO GET GOING!"

"SENAPI, I WANT TO LIVE!"

Eventually, all three of them were bruised.

Ushio's black cloak was dusty, and the clouded cloaks of the other two were torn at the edges.

"Can I get you anything else?" the waitress asked the odd bunch, making Tobi and Ushio turn to her as she set down their orders.

"No thank you," Ushio smiled nicely.

"Thanks a lot, missie!" Tobi said happily.

Deidara simply nodded at her, looking at his Bakudan. Ushio ordered vegan Gyoza Dumpling while Tobi was happily admiring his okonomiyaki.

The three were about to start eating when the door to the restaurant was broken down.

In front of them stood a silver-haired man.

"YOU MOTHERFUCKERS!" he announced. "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK YOU RATFUCKING HORSESHITS ARE DOING IN THIS SHIT HOLE COUNTRY WHILE THAT BASTARD AND I ARE HERE?!"

"Hidan-senpai!" Tobi cheered, looking around. "Where's Kakuzo-senpai?"

"Huh?" Hidan's magenta eyes glanced at the masked man, "that fucker was right fucking behind me," he stated idly, suddenly calm. "Yo, can I get some ribs?" the waitress nodded, looking a bit scared, but quickly scrambled off to order it for him.

"Hello Hidan," Ushio smiled at the Jashinist as he sat down next to her. He gave one glance at her plate before sighing.

"You one of those fuckers that don't eat meat?"

"Yeah, since I can talk to animals I feel quite uncomfortable eating them afterward."

"First fucking world problems right there," Hidan stated. "You won't see no normal twats talking 'bout animals asking them not to fucking eat them. You Leaf bastards are way too fucking soft, motherfucker." Kakuzu lazily strolled through the broken door, and Hidan called out to the waitress to get them Ankimo as well.

"I don't intend to pay for anything in this place," Kakuzu stated, sitting down as well.

"You broke the door, un," Deidara stated as he started eating. "We're gonna need to pay for both our food and the mess."

"We could always just ruin the whole fucking place and take off."

"That's rude," Ushio pointed out.

"Well, either that or you pay," Tobi shrugged. "I vote for paying."

"See, Tobi's sane."

"LIKE FUCK HE IS!" Hidan announced, hitting the girl's head.

"STOP MAKING SO MUCH NOISE, UN!"

"I will kill all of you if you talk again," Kakuzu said simply, before Hidan stood up.

"I AM A MOTHERFUCKING IMMORTAL YOU SON OF A BITCH!"

And they didn't even pay eventually.

His brown eyes stared out of the hospital's window, listening to the fellow jonin's tale. He opened the window the moment he entered the room, and smoke was snaking away from his cigarette, slowly making its escape.

"She's left?"

"Yes," Kakashi finished the tale.

Asuma rubbed the lit cigarette on his sandals and threw it out of the window, standing up and walking closer to Kakashi.

"Ushio Adachi left."

"Yes," Kakashi said again, onyx eye staring at the white, thin blanket.

"Her parents know?" Asuma wondered, making Kakashi shake his head no.

"I want to be the one telling them, but I don't know how. Isn't it my fault? How could I tell them something like that?"

Asuma sighed, sitting on the hospital bed.

"You're closer to her than I am," Asuma said easily, "but I know her much longer." Kakashi nodded. "She's too loyal to leave the village."

Kakashi turned to look at him strangely, opening his mouth.

"I know she's left, and I know you're saying she could never have enough here; but that's Ushio is. That's who she always was and always will be, this village will always be more than enough for her. She is too loyal to leave."

"Asuma, I know it's an absurd but--"

"Kakashi, it's not denial. I know her. She's got a reason for this."

"I..." Kakashi closed his eyes, hoping his friend was right. "I pray that you're right."

"Just trust her," Asuma grinned. "I do."

"What are you looking at, Ushio-chan?" Tobi shoved his face way too close to Ushio's, and she looked at him. Her eyes were set towards the distance, and Tobi tilted his head at her silence.

"Nothing much," Ushio shrugged. "Sometimes I just wish I was a cloud."

Tobi tilted his head again, "do you want to be a cloud right now? Because you weren't really watching the clouds."

"Other times I just hope to have a simpler life," she sighed.

Tobi suddenly forgot he was Tobi, sitting down next to the young girl.

"You regret leaving the Leaf?" Ushio shook her head.

Truthfully, she didn't. "I feel like I can breathe again," she informed the man, starting to dig into the ground with her finger. "I'm happy I left, it's just that..."

"What is it?"

"I sometimes wish I wasn't a ninja. That there was no need for ninjas and I could just be a nurse," she told him. Her hazel eyes were suddenly shimmering, and Tobi suddenly saw someone familiar in her. "I wish that I could help people instead of bring destruction. I wish there was peace."

He smiled underneath his mask, and Ushio could hear the sincere smile when he spoke next. "Ushio, we will achieve peace. You and I, we'll live to see a world where our life are whatever we want them to be."

Her shimmering eyes turned to him, and she looked so much like her, Tobi's heart twisted inside his chest.

"Why do you want peace?"

Tobi just laughed, "Ushio-chan, let's keep some things secret."
