Prolouge

"Hey y/n! Wanna hang after school today? We could go to the café and get some coffee and sweets." Says f/n.

"Sorry I can't. I'm really busy with homework." I say, biting my lip.

"You said that yesterday! You're just going to go surfing again aren't you?" F/n says, putting their hands on their hips in a sassy way.

"How did you know?!" I shouted, gasping dramatically.

"Because it's the same lame excuse as every other day...."

"Frick! I knew I had to be way more creative than just using the homework excuse. Damnit!" I laughed as they gave me a sassy look.

"I promise I'll go tomorrow though!" I said.

"Sweet! Don't forget like last time!" They glared at me.

"I won't" I grumbled while rubbing the back of my neck.

My phone went off, telling me that the surf is at it's prime. "K talk to you later, gotta surf. Biggest day yet!" I yelled as I left the classroom with my bags.

"Bye n/n! Don't forget about tomorrow!" F/n yelled back.

"I won't!"

Once I got home, I jumped into my bathing suit and rash guard. I grabbed my board and ran to the ocean. Once I got there, I put my leash on and started searching for the best break. The waves were at least 10 feet tall, most people would be terrified, but I've surfed bigger waves in Hawaii. I started heading to the right, as I saw a few barrels that way. I jumped over the shore break and started paddling out on my board. I duck dived under many waves until I get to a good area to rest. A large wave started to come towards me and I started paddling for it.

"Woohoo!" I shouted once I dropped in. I rode the barrel all the way out, and before the wave closed out, I turned out of it.

"Lets keep this going!" I shouted as I happily slapped the water.

This kept on going for the rest of my time out surfing. I started paddling for my final wave to ride in. I paddled hard and caught the wave. I dropped in, went into the barrel, and shot out right before it closed out and rode the white wash back into the shore. I got out of the water, happy that this day turned out this well.
