[B]10 minutes until total annihilation
[I]His feet quickly tapped against the brown carpeted floor. He was getting impatient again, tired of waiting for time to pass until this madness."Aren't we gonna do anything? Don't you guys know that we're literally on the edge here?!"
[I]He was stressfully asking two of the city council members. His Uncle grabbed onto his shoulder firmly. His grip weakened as he began to look more distraught with every second.
"I'm afraid there's nothing we can do but hope! We'd need a miracle we just don't have....I-It's all going to be ok, Sonny boy. We're all gonna be alright."
[I]He attempted to reassure his nephew. The teen shook his head, feeling a little embarrassed. How could he say that? He wasn't a kid anymore! He can do things now! He also noticed he tried to change the subject from hopelessness to hope. Maybe he was coping. The hedgehogs embraced. His uncle wanted a miracle? He's got one. One that's at least going to die trying to stop this mad man. It wouldn't be moral to end his life. This time though....mercy wasn't an option...
[B]9 1/2 minutes until total annihilation
[I]He sat on top of a hill, huddled and scared. He was curled up in a ball, and felt tears begin to roll down his cheek. The sunset was an orange, layered with a pink just beneath it. It would look beautiful on any other day. But this would be the end of days. This time, the doctor has won. Then he felt somebody sit down next to him."Hey, buddy. You're scared, aren't you?"
[I]Whispered a familiar, friendly voice. He turned his head, lifting it from the confinement of his arms. He felt an arm wrap around him, patting his shoulder. Sonic's white glove wipes the tears from his eyes as he leans in and tightly hugs his brother, not wanting to see him go. After some heaving in sorrow, he nodded to the question.
"It's ok, Tails. To be afraid. But you're gonna be alright. We're gonna fix this. I'm gonna save us. But I have to have your help, m'kay big guy?"
[I]Tails shuddered, shaking his head. He was still too rattled.
"What...What are you saying? He's gonna kill mom...dad...you, everybody!"
[I]He managed to get out of his quivering lip. Sonic leaned in and smiled.
"I'm saying we have hope. You've gotta be strong for me, ok? Be strong, and believe in that hope."
[I]He responded. The fox loosened his grip around his legs, then nodded and weakly smiled. He had to believe. He had to try!
[B]7 minutes until total annihilation
[I]He could feel the weight on his shoulders, and his muscles feeling more tense as the wind blew his quills back and forth as they pleased. This could be the last time he stands above the clouds, admiring their beauty. The blues and blacks of the night had set in, and brightly lit stars twinkled off into space. The moon lit the clouds with a brilliant white light. His brother had told him to prepare himself before the launch. He had made a few minor upgrades to the bi-plane he stood on the wings of via the use of a chaos emerald found two days prior. Suddenly, mechanical noises could be heard from within the plane, and a bright blue glow began to encompass it. Suddenly everything went white, forcing him to cover his eyes. He looked to his feet and found himself standing inside an escape pod-like craft attached to that of the formerly known plane. Formerly because as he looked out of the window installed in the left side, he could see that it had transformed from an aircraft to a spacecraft. He was quite impressed, but turned to acknowledge the fact that they were now exiting the planet Mobius's atmosphere and entering the outer space above it. And in that outer space was the Doctor's final weapon. The Egg Vaporizer is what he gloated about during the last two days when N.I.C.O.L.E. picked up intentionally left transmissions on the doctor's frequency. He knew it was nearly time. But what he also knew was that somehow, he had to get INSIDE of the weapon and disable it. There were possibilities of being burned alive or electrocuted looming in his head, but if Eggman could get in there, he knew there had to be a way that he could too. And if he knew Eggman well enough, there would be an army of defenders protecting their precious master. His brows narrowed when he even thought of his once organic lover being forced into servitude of the one thing they had both hated the most.
