His breath hitched into the back of his throat as the sound of a click echoed throughout the house. He pushed open the old wooden door and hesitantly stepped inside before the shutting the door behind him, masking the sound of the pouring rain just outside.
Glancing around, Jimin had no idea where he was but he needed shelter from the storm. His body shook violently due to the unrelenting cold that swept through his frame and down into his core. If he didn't find a source of heat soon, he'll surely die of hypothermia.
"H-Hello?" he called out in a hushed whisper as he glanced around the foyer of the house. It looked to have once been a grand mansion, decorated with lavish furniture, but now all Jimin sees is the remains of the past.
There was furniture tuned over on their sides and ripped to seems. Dust coated everything in it's wake as the mold and moss took over it's territory. The more Jimin looked around, the more creeped out he became. Perhaps it wasn't a grand idea to hide in an abandoned house but it was his only option.
Creeping further into the house, Jimin held his breath as he came across two large doors at the end of the grand hallway. Squinting his eyes, he noticed a light flickering from the other side and a small wave of heat welcomed him for a split second.
"Is that a fire place?" he asked himself as he palmed the door and gently pushed it open with ease. "H-hello?" he whispered lightly as he peeked his head inside and glanced around the room. Inside was a large king size bed, a long red velvet couch with a side table, and across from Jimin was a lit fireplace.
Eager for warmth, Jimin entered the room and rushed over to the fireplace. He palmed his hands together and rubbed them as he allowed the heat to engulf him completely. He was so relieved to finally find warmth that he wasn't aware of another presence in the room.
In the farthest corner, a soft ping of a piano key caught Jimin's attention. He snapped his head to where he had heard the sound and gulped down his fear and anxiety as he slowly stood up and peered into the darkness. "Is anyone there?" he asked with a shaky breath as he was praying that he was only hearing things.
Another ping from a piano key replied to him and that time he was sure it was real. Frozen with fear, Jimin strained his eyes to see where the sound was coming from as the keys of the piano echoed throughout the room.
"It's been a long time since I've had a visitor." a deep and gravely voice slithered through the darkness.
Jimin's breath was caught in his throat as he wasn't aware of another occupant in the room. "I-I'm sorry! I didn't know someone was here. I'll leave right now." he said as he hurried to the door.
As Jimin was about to reach for a it, a dark shadow suddenly appeared before him, causing him to squeak as he backed away from the man standing in front of him. "H-How?" Jimin couldn't comprehend what just happened. How did this person suddenly appear in front of him. Was he a ghost?
The man that stood before Jimin seemed so unworldly that it made him wonder if all of this was even real. His skin was as pale as the moonlight and looked soft as silk. His eyes, which were rich and dark just like his hair, kept Jimin rooted to the spot with a unnerving dominance.
The stranger seemed interested Jimin for that a very small grin tugged at his pouty lips.
"Are you going so soon? You just got here." the stranger mused as he stared at Jimin's wet frame. His tongue slid out of his mouth and grazed his bottom lip as he took in how Jimin's wet clothes hugged his body, thus showing off more that Jimin had to offer. "Please..stay.."
