After homeroom, it was time for me to go to my new room and meet my new roommate. All of my stuff was at the door of my new room so I was all set. I walked up to my new room and right when I was about to open the door, my nightmare approached me.
"Hey South Dakota!" Caleb called out.
"'South Dakota'? It's Dakota. There's no 'South' in my name, ok?" I said, "You're just like my brother. Calling me wierd nicknames."
"So, you're gonna open that 'Magical Door of Wonder' now? Looking at your new room and meeting your new roommate?" says Caleb.
"Uh huh. What if my roommate's different?" I asked Caleb.
"Racist girl." he said.
"I didn't mean that kind of 'different'. I mean like mean, wierd, annoying, etc." I said.
"You'll be fine, North Dakota." said Caleb, licking his lips here and there. Ew...
"Haha, very funny. South Dakota and North Dakota." I said.
"You know, you're cuter than that other Dakota. You know, the celeb, Dakota Fanning." he said, leaning in slowly. When I realized what he was doing, I grabbed my stuff and opened the door with my room key as fast as I can, I ran into the room, and shut the door before Caleb could attack me with his lips. I sighed in relief and looked around my new room. It was girly but not too girly. Not too much pink so it was good. The room was like a rainbow, some blue over here, yellow over there, and a little orange over there. As I walked around on the fluffy carpet, I smiled.
"Wow, this room is pretty cool." I said to myself.
"Thanks!" I heard someone say from above. I looked up and saw a brunette, smiling at me, sitting on the top bunk.
"Um...hi. Are you my new roommate?" I asked.
"Yup!" she said. She jumps off of the top bunk and smiled, "I'm Holly. Welcome to your new room!"
"I'm Dakota." I said, smiling back.
"You know, it's not nice to slam a door in someone's face." I heard Caleb say behind me. I turned around and glared at him.
"What do you want?" I said, irritated.
"Caleb, go away. Obviously, Dakota doesn't want to see you." said Holly.
"Slut." said Caleb.
"Woah, you kiss your mother with that mouth?" I said.
"Nice!" said Holly, giving me a high five. Caleb just scowled and walked out of the room, "See ya later South Dakota."
"Don't call me that!" I shouted.
"Since when did you meet him?" asks Holly.
"Since this morning when I was about to go get my schedule. That asshole." I said.
"Almost every girl here in West Seaside has a crush on Caleb. Even the ones who don't know him that much. He's a jerk but he's pretty sweet." she said.
"Sweet?! I hate his guts already. He's a player, isn't he?" I said, shaking my head in disbelief.
"You know, you're pretty cool, Dakota." she said, smiling.
"Thanks, you're pretty awesome too." I said, smiling back.
"We're gonna be such great friends!" she said, "C'mon, I'll help you with your stuff."
"Thanks, Holly." I said.
