My Names Monique Abbrams. Family calls me Mo, Friends call me Nique. My Bestfriends are Erica , Nyjah, and Diana. We all are 16 except for Nyjah, She's 17 but in the same grade as us.
We go to Lincoln Heights HighSchool... Labeled as the most hood school in Atlanta.
Its not like your average HighSchool. If some one is thought to be shooting there are no lockdowns, you just duck and hope for the best.
It was the First Day of 11th grade. Me and Erica Stayed Closest to each other so we were just going to ride to school together and meet Nyjah and Diana.
I Woke up did my usual routine and got dressed. I then went to go eat a quick breakfast but before i could get anything i heard the horn outside. I walked out after grabbing my phone, bookbag and wallet off the couch.
Erica yelled out the window "COME ON SO WE CAN GET BREAKFAST".
"Bettt" I said and ran to the car.
Once i got in i shut the door and threw my book bag in the backseat.
"So Guess who i talked to last night girl..." she said with her eyes on the road.
"Who girl?"
"Chris..."
"What the hell why?" I asked...
Chris was this boy that she had dated for a while but it didn't work out because He wanted to play the field and talk to every other female in Atlanta.
"Girl he was tellin me how he wanna get back together and shit but he cheated on me with that gorilla lookin ass girl like what the fuck..."
I had to catch my breath from laughing before I could say anything back.
"Bitch you so mean oh my god" i was almost crying.
We pulled up in the drive thru of McDonalds and ordered
"Get my Frappe too" i said.
"Ight"
After a while we got to the school. Even tho it was the first day it was the usual... Some boys were out smoking in the front. The same boys trying to talk to the new freshman girls that look like they older than me. The older girls hating on the younger girls because they ain't shit ass boyfriends want to fuck the freshman.
Thats why we stay out the mix. We dont show these boys at Lincoln Heights any attention unless we bored. They only bring problems and so do these ghetto ass females.
"Aye Nique..." Shaun called from behind me. Shaun was a Blood, He was actually the gang leader. He was in the 12th grade last year but when he found out he wasn't going to finish with all the credits then he dropped out. I don't know why he still be on school grounds maybe just to get in these lil girls head.
"What Shaun?" I asked and stopped to look at him while Erica kept walking to go and find the rest of the group.
"Lemme holla at you right quick." He said waving me over to him. I walked over to him.
"I been tryna talk to you for a while now and you ain gave me a chance baby girl." He continued. I rolled my eyes in disgust.
"Boy You ain't tryna do nothin but fuck and i ain't lookin for that" i said rolling my eyes and starting to walk away.
He grabbed my arm and pulled me back to him.
"Let me go nigga" i said and he chuckled and let me go
"Go to class lil girl" he said
"Shut the fuck up"
I walked to catch up with Erica.
"That goofy ass nigga always messin with me" i said walking to match her pace.
"I know i had to walk away before his homeboy try and get at me."
I rolled my eyes at the fact that they are so damn aggravating.
Eventually we got to our class and seen Nyjah and Diana talking at a table with two open seats. We sat and put our book bags on the side of us. One person buys breakfast and it switches out everyday. Today it was Erica she handed everybody their food and Diana looked at us like she had bad news.
"So yall wont believe what i heard and its only Homeroom." She said
"Aw shit what is it?" Erica asked
" Alright First of All they found out Coach Darwins was messing with that girl Diamond and now she pregnant by him. So he fired with a lawsuit and a baby on the way."
"Damnnn his fine ass..." i said still listening
" Then those houses was built down there on Houston Blvd. so its a whole bunch of new rich kids here." Nyjah said
"I noticed all of em walkin around all bougie and shit i hope they know they'll get they lil ass robbed over here" Erica said and we laughed and agreed with her.
We were on the far side of the room me and Erica were facing towards the door.
Two girls had walked in. One was a Skinny white girl with long blonde hair and a uniform like we were at some prep school while the other was a short black girl with a brown sew in and a blue version of what the white girl was wearing.
The short girl was following the other one towards us.
"My Daddy is rich, Move" she told Diana
Diana laughed "Girl you got 10 seconds to get the fuck out my face..."
"Ms Harris find a seat" The teacher said
"Im trying to but this bi-" Diana stood up before the word could get out her mouth .
The short girl stepped up like she was about to fight. So me and Erica hopped up too but Nyjah being the peace maker was telling us to sit down.
So she stood up and broke it up while all the boys in the back of class were booing her for not letting us fight.
"Come on Beverly They ain't worth it" the short girl said walkin to the other side of the room
"Fuck you and Beverly" we all said and laughed
"Okok Calm down " the teacher said and we rolled our eyes.
This Bout To Be A long year.
