It was a pretty lady. Is she an angel sent from above? But it looked like she’s in a rush as she immediately stood up and started picking up her things that fell from her plastic bag. Ignoring the pain in my head, I stood up and helped her.

“I’m so sorry. I-I didn’t saw you.” I said while helping her
“No it’s alright. It was my fault anyway. I was in a rush.” She said while fixing her stuff.
“Thank you.” She said. Still busy with her stuff. I turned around to see if there are left on the ground. I saw a gun. Weird. But I just picked it up and handed it to her. She just looked at it confused.

“Isn’t this yours?” I asked nonchalantly.

She just shrugged and lifted her head to look at me. That’s when I saw fear in her eyes. Did I do something wrong? I was just handing her a gun that I saw in the middle of the road.

“Please don’t hurt me” she said almost crying. What is wrong with this woman? Then I noticed all the people on the busy road stopped what they were doing and they were looking at us.

I noticed a reflection on the glass wall of  a shop. It’s an 18-year-old boy, clothes stained with blood, hair messed up, eyes surrounded with dark circles and holding a gun. That can’t be me.

Suddenly I felt an untolerable pain in my head. It felt like my brain was being twisted. The earth was turning around. I gripped my head tightly and fell on the ground. I can hear the police sirens again. Then I heard voices from my brain:

Marty, your son is alright he is not crazy. We just have to give him enough attention and understanding!”

“Honey don’t you see it? He is crazy! A psychopath! He almost killed those children out there. He has done that multiple times. We have to take him back to the hospital whether he likes it or not.”

“You know we can’t do that..” crying

“We have to. Who knows what things he could do if not given medication. We don’t want him to be a criminal one day.”

“Mom? Dad? Are you taking me to the hospital?”

“I told you, I don’t wanna go there!”

“No... son you have to. It’s for your own good. Just please put down that gun.”

“ I’m not crazy!”

“Son, please just give me that gun”

“No! And you’re not taking me to that god damn hospital. I’d rather kill you !”

Bang! Bang!

The voices didn’t stop as I was screaming in agony. My vision began to get blurry but I was able to recognize the police cars stopped on the side. Armed police officers came out. They pointed their guns towards me. It felt like everything was in slow motion. They were shouting something at me but I couldn’t hear them. A woman who I can sense was sobbing came near me. She was crying so loud while she let my head rest on her lap.

“Son, what have you done?” it was similar with one of the voices in my head. How did this happen? I was just having a fun walk then here I am, screaming in agony while lying on this asphalt road. Then, everything went BLACK.
