Aspen Collins stood at the door nodding her head as McGonagall hurried over to her.
"Students this is Aspen Collins. Make her feel welcome." McGonagall cheerfully smiled. "Look, there's a seat next to Rachel you can have."
Rachel waved as Aspen walked over. She had electric blue eyes and dark brown hair and an abundance of freckles across her face. Her robes were the colours of Ravenclaw, so Seamus had been right about at least one of the new students.
"Hey, I'm Rachel Potter. Nice to meet you." Rachel grinned.
"So you're the lost Potter twin!" Aspen gasped.
"The one and only!" Rachel laughed.
"I'm Aspen Collins, well you probably heard the professor say that." She shook her head. Seamus cleared his throat next to Rachel.
"Oh this is my dearest friend Seamus Finnigan." Rachel cooed in a mocking tone, patting Seamus on the cheeks.
"Nice to meet you!" Aspen giggled.
"I've just noticed something." Rachel stopped looking around the classroom. "Our desk is the only three seated one. All the others are two seaters."
"Maybe it's because we're at the back?" Aspen suggested.
"Yeah I guess so. God knows why I just noticed that now." Rachel laughed. "So how are you liking Hogwarts?"
"It's fabulous, I love it!" Aspen smiled. "It's pretty big though."
"Yeah I though that but then I came from Beauxbatons so I'm used to it." Rachel said. "So what school did you go to before here?"
"Well actually I'm a muggle born but my aunt is a witch so she home schooled me for a while. My parents didn't really want me to leave home for such a long time." Aspen explained.
"Were both half bloods." Seamus butted in signalling to himself and Rachel.
Once the lesson had finished Rachel stopped Aspen.
"Are you okay going to your next class?" She asked.
"I think so." Aspen said unsurely.
"Okay hang on a minute." Rachel paused Aspen. She quickly grabbed Ben Rogers, another Ravenclaw. "Hey Ben, so yeah you know this is Aspen. She's in your lessons so could you show her around for now?"
"Yeah sure." He nodded.
"Cheers Ben. Look Aspen I'll probably see you at lunch!" Rachel called to her as she walked away with Ben.
"Yes sure! Thank you Rachel!" She replied before she disappeared around the corner.
"So how's Aspen Collins?" Hermione asked as she caught up with Rachel.
"She's brilliant! She's really smart, guess that's why she is a Ravenclaw." Rachel said.
"What have we got next?" Ron asked as he joined the girls.
"History of magic." Harry moaned.

"Another detention from that old tosspot!" Rachel angrily shouted as she left the classroom in a strop.
"In all fairness we were throwing books through him." Dean pointed out.
"Hey you're ment to be backing me up!" Rachel huffed. Dean shrugged his shoulders. "And he made us stay behind twenty minutes! Does he not know it's lunch?"
"Obviously not." Dean rolled his eyes. "Right come on I'm starving." He grabbed her arms and dragged her to the great hall.
Sat on her own was Aspen at the Ravenclaw table. Rachel skipped over to her and slid into the seat.
"Hey!"
"Oh hey Rachel." Aspen laughed.
"Why don't you come sit with me, my brother and all them lot? I can introduce you then." Rachel suggested.
"Will they mind?"
"Nah!" Rachel waved her hand. "I just don't think I'm welcome on this table." Rachel signalled to Eleanor Smith and her posse, glaring at her. Rachel snatched a sandwich and an apple from the table and began eating the sandwich as they stood up.
"Oh god I hate her. In potions she acted like such a know it all!" Aspen groaned as they headed to the Gryffindor table.
"Guys this is Aspen." Rachel smiled pointing to her. "Aspen this is Hermione, Ron, Harry, Dean, you met Seamus, Fred, George and that's Lee."
"Hey." Aspen waved sheepishly.
"Right. Shall I give you a quick tour of school before lunch is over?" Rachel turned to Aspen.
"Oh yes please!" She nodded.
"You coming Hermione?" Rachel asked.
"I'm still eating sorry." Hermione shook her head.
"Don't worry we'll just go." Rachel said and lead Aspen out of the hall, throwing her apple in the air and catching it. Before finally taking a big bite out of it.

"To conclude our tour, welcome to the library!"
"Wow. I like it here." Aspen laughed in awe.
"Yeah it is pretty amazing but word of warning, don't just open a book because sometimes people like to put pranks in them." Rachel warned.
"Like what?"
"Well if you're reading about dragons you're not going to have any eyebrows after." Rachel giggled as she walked out of the hall.
Suddenly a deep bell tolled loudly signalling next lesson.
"I've got double potions and herbology next." Rachel groaned.
"I have divination, history of magic and care of magical creatures." Aspen recited her time table.
"It sucks were not in many lessons together." Rachel sighed.
"Yeah it does, you know except for that Ben Rogers and Seamus, you're the only person who's made me feel welcome!" Aspen mumbled.
"It's the Ravenclaw's, they take a bit of warming up before they're all friendly I guess. Try and get a bunch of house points and stuff, then they'll talk. Most of them aren't actually too bad!" Rachel scoffed.
"I'll try." Aspen laughed.
"Right I'd better go, Snape will be asking for me." Rachel winked before walking to the dungeons.
"Rachel wait up!" Fay Dunbar shouted running up to her.
"Oh hey Fay." Rachel said.
"Gosh we're late. We're going to be in trouble." Fay fretted.
"Don't worry about it. I've already got a detention today off Binns remember?" Rachel reminded. "Besides we're not that late."
"But this is Snape. You only have to arrive thirty seconds after when we should have been there and we will get detention!" Fay moaned. "It doesn't help that we're Gryffindor's."
The girls descended the old stone stairs to the dungeons where it was dark and damp. It was a typical place for the sinister potions teacher to teach a class.
