Chapter Sixty Nine - Big Suprise

- The next day -

I was sitting at the table eating waffles as Joey came down with a huge smile on his face. "Why are you so happy"? I asked he didn't reply he just sat down in the chair in front of me and put his phone in front of my plate. On his phone there was a picture of a house, "Okay, it's a house. Why are so happy"? I said taking a bite from my waffle he kept smiling and said "It's not just a house, it's our house" he said. My smiled faded "What do you mean its our house"? I asked setting my fork down "I bought it. For us and the baby" he said I smiled bigger than I have even smiled before, I jumped up and hugged him. "Oh my god. I can't believe you bought this just for us" I said still smiling "The only thing is that the house is in California" he said "Thats even better! I can see our friends again"! I said as I kissed him.

Me and Joey were sitting on the couch waiting for my mother to come home to tell her I'm moving with Joey back to Los Angeles, California. She finally came in the door, I jumped up and ran over to her "Mom! I have something to tell you!" I said very excitedly "Meghan I just walked in. Let me put everything down first" she said I moved out of the way and she walked over to the kitchen to set the grocery bags down. I walked over to her slowly. She sighed "Okay. Now you can tell me" she said standing next to the counter "Um, well Joey bought a house in LA for the both of us and the baby" I said my mothers eyes got bigger then her face, "What! No! Meghan no"! She said slamming her hands on the counter "No! No! And no! You are staying here! He can go live there! But you! Are not"! She said walking over to the table she sat down and put her head on the table, I looked over and Joey. He looked pissed!

"Listen, Michelle. I know you don't like me. But I bought this house for Meghan! Not me! Meghan! One: she loved LA, so I bought a house there. Two: She's about to have a baby. This is a small house 7 and a baby people can't live in this small house! So, whether you like it or not Meghan and I are moving there"! He said to her I smiled, my mother on the other hand looked like she was about to kill someone "Fine, take my daughter, my pregnant daughter who knows nothing about mothering. Away, far away from her own family" she said as she stood up and walked closer to us "Listen-" Joey started I cut him off "Stop! Both of you"! I screamed "Mom! I know you don't want me to move away from you or our family but, I want to live with my own family. I want to start a new life" I said she still looked angry "Like I said go. But you wont know what to do when it gets here, so good luck" she said " 'It's' name is Avery, learn that because Avery won't know your name"! I said as I turned and ran up the stairs.
