Kenma and Kuroo were on their way to Nekoma High, just like any other day. Kuroo looked up at the sky before turning to Kenma.

" Hey Kenma, remember that poem Sensei asked us to write the other day? ( I know Kenma is a second year and Kuroo is a third, but let's just say that they go to the same homeroom cos Kenma is too smart or somethin ) So what type are you going to write? "

" A ballad. Let me guess... you haven't even started on it have you. Plus, Sensei gave us 3 themes and you're picking love aren't you? " Kenma responded with a faraway look in his eyes.

Kuroo simply gave off his signature smirk as they parted ways to their classes, upon reaching Nekoma. Glancing over his shoulder, he muttered " I made a new theme... it's called Kenma.." The bedhead chuckled as he stepped into his class.

With Kuroo's seat next to the window, it was easy for him to get a nice outside view. He stared down at the coty beneath him, his raven pupils meeting a garbage area. There were two felines, one's fur pitch black and the other a bright yellow colour with small traces of black. Don't those two look familiar.

" TETSURO-KUN! ARE YOU LISTENING? READ THE PARAGRAPH! " Sensei hollered as Kuroo nearly fell off his chair. Crap. His textbook wasn't even open. Silently, he frantically flipped the pages as he heard a quiet " Page 216 line 11" somewhere from the backrow. Thanking his saviour internally, he read off his lines, with a picture of Chibi Kenma next to the text. As he sat back down in his seat, all he could think about was the blonde he had fallen in love with.

"Kenmaaaaa!!! Where are youuu??" All heads turned to face Kenma as Kuroo yelped his name. Hiding his red face in his hair, he smacked Kuroo's arm. " Why did you do that? You know I hate attention! " Kuroo just waved his hand at him and whispered in an almost seductive tone, " I want them to know that I hang out with you so they will stay away from you. " A shiver ran down Kenma's spine as Kuroo said those words. Trying to hide his beetroot red face more, he frantically paced to his seat.

" Akise! What type of poem have you written, what theme and why you have written it? " Sensei recited off the names of students for them to read out their poems. It was Kuroo's turn next.
" Kuroo! Your poem style, theme and reason please. "
With a deep breath, he recited.
" I have written a haiku ( nearly wrote haikyu there ) and the theme is love.. I have written it for my best friend because of how much he means to me.." With a quick glance to Kenma, he read out his haiku.
" He is one special
Boy that I will always love
But this is just me. "
He quickly slumped down in his seat as he held his head in his hands. He had just embarassed himself. He looked at Kenma, his seat mate with a red face. Unbelievably, Kenma let out a smile and whispered, " I can come up with poems on the spot. "
" Kozume! Your poem? " the Sensei repeated as Kenma shyly stood up.

" I have also written a haiku with the same theme love which I have also dedicated to my best friend, " with a smile to Kuroo,
" Feelings are mutual
My heart beats fast for you, love
You are my soulmate. "
Kenma flushed red before plopping down in his seat. All of a sudden, Seikou ( Saeko cos why not ) the jock stood up and yelled. " AREN'T KUROO AND KENMA BEST FRIENDS? THE HAIKUS ARE FOR EACH OTHER AREN'T THEY?! " He hollered as everyone else ' ooooh-ed '. Gathering up his courage, Kuroo laced his fingers around Kenma's as he raised their hands in the air as everyone gasped and clapped, the Sensei wiping a tear from his eye. " Young love.. "

After the bell rung to signal the end of the school day, Kenma looked at the tall boy next to him om the train. " Kuroo.. did you do that for show or was it... " Kuroo turned to the blonde with a serious glint in his eye. " Do I look like I'm joking? "
" N-no that's not what I "
Before Kenma could finish his sentence, Kuroo had pressed his lips against Kenma's.

After an eternity, Kuroo finally pulled away.
" I wrote another haiku for you.
' Kenma, you're like the
Only shining star tonight
You light my life up. '
I hope you will join me on watching that starry night sky tonight, on that blanket, my love. "
