“If you win, you need not have to explain...If you lose, you should not be there to explain!”

Price’s POV
“Damn it! That’s the third needle you’ve stuck in me today,” I stated aggressively.
“I am sorry if I have caused any discomfort,” said the surgical bot. “But I am simply doing my job.”
I breathed in slightly, before sighing. I was frustrated – to put it mildly – that I was entering the sixth stage of my enhancements, and still had one more to go. Everyone else was in the same stage as me with their enhancements, and Blaze had recently received his AI, Delpha.
The rest of us had to wait till stage seven for our AIs, even though they were ready now. And to make things worse for me and the rest of Angels, Blaze was staying up late studying the Imps strategies, while Delpha got used to the way Blaze thought.
I groaned mentally; as I remembered hearing Delpha say that Blaze thought like both a pacifist and a warrior. Blaze had retorted with the fact that he didn’t like having troops on either side being killed unnecessarily. Delpha had stayed silent for a solid ten minutes as he processed this – the ten minutes of near silence had been a blessing to my ears – and then Delpha had started commenting on the Imp tactics.
Not that I couldn’t complain about it, but you just don’t mention the fact that you’re tried as heck, especially around Colonel. And that was another thing that now irritated me. Almost straight after we had landed on Earth, the FAE high command had swept Blaze away to some secret facility. After he had returned to us, he had had been prompted to the rank of Colonel – and without going through any of the other ranks that I had, nor the training that I had gone through – after which he started to gather Intel on the Imps.
“Ugh, Damn it,” I shouted. “Stop sticking those damn needles in me!”
“Do not worry,” said the surgical bot. “We have almost completed Stage five of your enhancements.”
“Already, but I thought it would take longer.”
“Unlike the others I have dealt with,” explained the surgical bot, “Your body is smaller, and therefore does not need to have as many needles stuck in your body. Now if you would follow me, you will be entering the finally part of enhancements Stage Five.”
“And what does that involve, exactly?”
“You shall be placed inside a Chlorine tank,” stated the robot, “There you will stay until tomorrow morning. You will be asleep well in the Chlorine tank, so the Chlorine will be able to mix with the chemicals that have been fused with your DNA.”
I walked into the Tank chamber, and waited for the surgical bot to show me which tank I was going in. The robot darted ahead of me, and opened the door for one of the tanks closest to the chamber entrance. I stepped inside, and the robot shut the door behind me, sealing it shut.
Suddenly I was feeling light-headed. That’s when I realised that the nozzle above me was spraying some kind of gas. Before long I felt myself drifting off to sleep, but I could still feel the Chlorine water tickle my skin.
‘Strange, it almost feels like…”

Blaze’s POV
“No, no, no,” I argued, “Delpha that’s not right. Fire Blade is a rider sword. It’s capable of cutting through dragon scales – which are almost impossible to penetrate – and can with stand enormous amounts of heat.”
