Chapter 14- Is James Jealous?

I didnt realise how fast time passed by. If we became friends, i could convince Ashton to help me escape. What was i thinking? Maybe he might tell me a few things why Richard wants me. He could also tell me about James and his motive.
"Ashton we are friends right?" I beam.
"Of course we are!" He cheers.
"Your so much more better than James?"
"Indeed" He smiles.
"First he acts all dreamy in front of you. He makes you fall for him even if you don't want to. Then you soon realise he's your enemy and wants you dead" I'm angry but there's pain in my voice.
"You fell for him?" He put his hand on mine to comfort me.
"Me?Never!" I lied.
"Shall i tell you a secret?" Ashton paused as i open my eyes wide. "James is my best friend. I know him more than he does. He doesn't want you dead; he's a good guy at heart"
"That's the thing Ashton. He is very mysterious. At times, he is the best guy and then he's worser than anything" I examine his words deeply.
"Just follow your heart!" He smiled.
Suddenly the door creaks open; its James. He has a very deep expression as he sees Ashton and I.
"Bro what are you doing?" He says with a slightly serious tone. "Get out"
"Whats your problem?" I say defensively.
James P.O.V
As im about to open the door i hear Richelles voice. She's so wrong about me but I made myself look like a player who was putting on a fake act. However, she said she didnt fall for me; im glad! Why do i care anyways? I don't feel for her right? She's just a normal girl who I had to bring to Dad. As i open the door, i see Ashton and Richelle sitting closely. His hand on hers; my blood boils. Theyre both talking and lost in each other. Why do I feel so irritated?
"Bro what are you doing?Get out?"
"What's your problem?" Richelle speaks defensively.
