Rwby x male reader: Survivor on Remnant

A supply drop?

Now let me tell you something. The supply drop are actually call a beacon but I refer to them as supply drops as that is what they are.

Journal Entry #6

Things are getting strange since when I showed up. Bright lights have been showing up in the sky along with a beam of light with the bright light shining brightest going down the beam. If my guess is correct they are supply drops. But they are too far away and by the time I get to the area they have disappeared. If my guess is correct and they are supply drops that means either there is an overseer for Remnant, the overseer has been resurrected, or it's a different overseer from the one on the island. I'll continue trying to get to them to see what it is.

I looked through my notes rereading the ones I wrote when I realized. I haven't been writing down any sort of notes about the creatures of grimm! They would amaze some people back home. Mainly Scott. Oh he loves taking notes on the creatures of the arks trying to find any thing Helena missed or got wrong.

I got up and grabbed a spare notebook and a few pens. Then I grabbed my hide armor and weapons and ran out to the emerald forest. After walking through the forest a bit I saw a grimm. A beowolf to be exact. I hid in a bush and started writing down notes.

Beowolf

They hunt in packs or hunt alone. Like all grimm beowolf s are attracted to negative emotions. They fight ferociously with claws and sharp teeth.

When a target that is not another grimm is found they will attack on sight. When killed they will turn into dust and leave no corpse behind. They have an excellent sense of smell from what I have seen.

To the side I sketched a drawing of a beowolf.  Then I put my notebook away and snuck back to Beacon without it even knowing I was there.

When I got back to beacon I saw a huge crowd of people standing outside looking at a bright blue beam of light. Realizing what is was I quickly ran up to the crowd of shoved my way to the center. When I was at the center I saw the brightest part of the beam was almost at the bottom. And soon it it hit the ground and turned into a 3D implant shaped container, the size of several people.

I saw everyone back away a couple of feet leaving only me a couple of feet away. I walked up to it and I heard random students shouting at me.(when I saw student for this next bit I don't mean the same person. I'm just to lazy to come up with names at the time)

Student: get away!

Student: it going to kill you!

Student: this person is crazy!

Student: your going to die!

I walked inside the rotating metal surrounding it and I was just up next to it. I put my hand on it and my implant glowed for a second before showing me what's inside of it. I reached in and pulled out a few blueprints before it shattered into a million pieces and the beacon of light faded away.

After that everyone was quiet. I looked at the blueprints to see i got an apprentice megladon saddle, a ramshackle giganotosaurus saddle, and a mastercraft titanosaorus saddle.

I smiled. These would be tough to make but worth it. I put them in my one hand and walked out of the crowd of students who were looking at the remains of the supply drop.

Y/n: so my theory was correct. It was a supply drop

When I to my dorm I closed the door and locked it. I had things to do. I lauded the blueprints with my notes and grabbed the scroll I was given. I turned it on and looked up 'Overseer'. Quickly many things came up about the supply drops and where they are coming from. I looked through article after article and when I was about to give up I saw one thing. A photo of the Overseer. I opened the article it was for and things came up about it appearing through a portal in shards. Scientists put them back together and it came alive.

Y/n: YES! Something challenging from the Arks!

I was very happy. Fighting grimm had gotten boring as they offered no real threat. But the overseer? I can't wait to kill it again. My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on my door.

I got up and opened it to see team RWBY.

Ruby: start explaining

Y/n: what?

Yang: what was that thing outside? And why did you go up to it

I sighed.

Y/n: come in, I'll explain

They walked in  and sat on my bed. I closed the door and I sat in my chair.

Y/n: that thing you saw is called a beacon or I like to call it a supply drop. They come out of nowhere and come to the ground. I've seen many in the emerald forest but the problem is after a bit they disappear. What you find in it is different every time. There are also different colors. White, green, blue, yellow, red and purple. You find better things in each on, white is the worst and purple is the best. But before you can opened them you have to have a certain power rating. We can't discover what it is unless we try to open one of those.

Blake: where do they come from?

Y/n: we'll I did say from nowhere but from what we saw they are controlled by the overseer

Weiss: so your saying.....

Y/n: one of three thing. Number 1; Remnant may have already had an overseer but I doubt that one. Number2; it came from on of the arks where we have not discover the Overseer. Or number 3; that's the same overseer we killed on the island

Yang: so are these dangerous? The beacons that is.

Y/n: on their own no. But the things inside can be. And sometimes if your lucky you find something really good in a weaker beacon. White, green and blue. Or if your really unlucky you get something really bad from the powerful ones. Yellow, red and purple

Ruby: that leaves a question. How do we get to this overseer

I got up and walked to my window.

Y/n: 3 trophies and a few other things

Yang: how to we get the trophies then?

I opened the window and pointed out to the forest.

Y/n: that

They got up and came over to me. And they finally noticed what no one in beacon has but me. The thing I was pointing at was the Red Obelisk.

Cliffhanger
