Braiden's POV

*Flashback.*

???: "I'm sorry, Braiden... I can't come with you... Take this necklace as a reminder of me..."

A white-haired girl handed me a blue rose necklace. I couldn't recognize her face. Then she closed the door between us...

Braiden: "W-wait!"

*SLAM! Flashback ends.*

Braiden: "Gah! ... Huff... Sigh... That memory again..."

I check my cell and see two IMC Grunts guarding me... Yay. I can hear their conversation.

IMC Grunt 1: "I mean, you've got to admit that Blisk is the scariest bastard of the whole Frontier."

IMC Grunt 2: "Oh please... I bet there's someone more frightening than him."

IMC Grunt 1: "Oh yeah?! Name one! I'll give you 500 credits if you can name one person who is scarier than Blisk..."

IMC Grunt 2: "Uh... how about that guy we captured?"

IMC Grunt 1: "Him?!" *He points at me.* "He's not even a badass! He's just a weak Pilot!"

IMC Grunt 2: "I heard from Shade and her Mercenary buddies that he matches Shadow's skill!"

IMC Grunt 1: "Oh, that's bull-!"

I decide to tune them out and close my eyes.

Braiden: Hope you guys can get me the hell out of here.

(Y/N)'s POV

We are on our way to the IMC Airbase as a distraction while Sarah takes a squad to destroy the towers and Lastimosa takes another group to rescue Braiden.

*Flashback.*

MacAllan: "Crew, this is MacAllan. Good news- we got what we needed off that tower. Only one thing remains between us and Demeter- the greatest concentration of IMC power on the Frontier. If any attack on Demeter is to have a chance of success, this airbase must be destroyed. Bish has the details."

Bish: "The airbase is defended from local wildlife by three towers, like the one we saw in our last mission. Using the data from that mission, I've built a device that will take down the towers. I call it 'The Icepick.' Because every ship in our fleet will be needed at Demeter, a full-scale aerial assault is not an option. But, if we take out the towers, the wildlife will finish the job."
